He can claim that all he wants, but when I was on vacation in Summit County, Co back in Feb, I counted 17 (SEVENTEEN) V10 superduties that were running around just between Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, Frisco, and Silverthorne. That's a helluva lot of V10 trucks that "nobody wants" in my limited time on the road running between ski resorts. All of them had work gear and ladder racks on them-Electricians, Plumbers, etc. I made a comment to my wife that it seemed odd that they didn't have diesels, and that we also hadn't see many Superduties with diesels up there.

Dude, I know you're full of it now. Summit County is in the 10,000' range and NOBODY is going to buy a V10 truck up there so they can get 3mpg out of it. Damn near EVERY truck up here is a diesel unless it's a 1/2 ton.

interesting... Around here nobody drives super duties unless they are company trucks. Lot's of GM's and Dodges... I could probably count the the number of privately owned '08-'11 superduties on my hands. I pulled up to a horse farm the other day and they noted I had the first Ford they had seen with the upside down headlights like that. Of course they had a Dodge 3500 dually, and I had to bite my tongue from saying "so this is the first real truck you've seen?"
So you're saying she's unemployed? I have a lot of friends in WV and there are some really good people up there. There are also a lot of reallllly bad ones. I have been to virtually every town in the state. Parts of it are beautiful and parts of it are places I never want to go again lol. I used to do a lot of oil and gas work up there, so we went waaaaay back in the woods for our jobs. I had to take my wife up there one weekend to show her because even she didn't believe the stuff I told her about it.

I just looked again, and all the V10's were gone so I called the dealership to tell them I was looking for one. They said they shipped them to Missouri last week but that they could get me one in a week if I wanted one. Must have sold them off to a dealer out there. Bet that was some good pricing...
Interesting, I bet someone got their butt chewed out for ordering so many V10's. I think it's pretty obvious more PSD's are sold than V10's, if someone ordered to many, the market would easily be saturated with V10's and they would sit in the lot. That's probably what happened because I haven't see that many V10's on any of the lots in OH, PA, or WV. That or some ordered them meaning to order PSD's and stupidly checked the V10 box instead of the PSD box...

Our local dealer has one of the largest inventories I've ever seen all crammed into their lot. When they start getting in their shipments of vehicles, it's not uncommon to have for the salesman to move 2-3 vehicles to get yours out on a test drive. Then the vehicles all sit there until the next fall when they do it again. I'm going to drive over there this afternoon and see a 5.4l Super Duty firsthand.
You need to buy Hooked on Phonics, too. That way maybe you could comprehend what was written. Where did I say I bought a PSD to get more tail, or that a PSD gets me more tail? I know; I didn't. All I said was "PSD owners GET more tail". It's not my fault girls laugh at you, but I see why they do...
Nice evasion. As for girls laughing at me, no problem, my wife can take care of them

they look the same as the V10 and PSD, just different tach and cleaner engine bay. the 5.4's drive like a dog IMO though, but the 5.4 has more power than my old '88 Chevy 3500 crew cab dually with a 454, and I used to tow a 16,000 lb trailer with that.

I'm going to test drive one of them. I'm heading over there in a few.
Just checked autotrader.com for 1999-2011 F-series - within 300 miles of Denver CO (for example), 60 V10's came up.
400 Diesels (using the search keywords PSD or diesel or powerstroke).
That's a 1:6 or 1:7 ratio. Given Ford at one time says 14% of the F-series were projected to be sold as V10's, and that I don't remember how many gas V8's were projected (it was definitely more than the V10) let's say 28% of the run is gassers, 72% diesel.
Let's say I could come up with another 60 V8 gassers, total market of 520 vehicles, 60 of them V10, 60 of them V8 gas, and 400 diesel.
That breaks down to 76% diesel, 11% V10, 11% gas V8.
Are you guys trying to say Ford sells more v10s than psds? I don't get the talk about the new v10s on the lots. No one can argue way more psds are sold. Though for this argument, I don't think it matters who has sold more.

Hum...Art said 76% of Super duties were diesels and 11% were V10's, where did you get more V10's were sold than PSD's?
Chrager was just saying no one in CO wants V10's, that's why there so many 2010 V10's still on the lots. But the dealer probably ordered to many of them, just like a dealer by me ordered to many 5.4's. Apparently they have been shipped off to the midwest. I know the dealer with all the 5.4's by me couldn't have sold all of them in 2 weeks, super duties just don't sell that fast around here.
