AP/UPIitem: HOT OF THE PRESS

Washington...high ranking officials jointly announced today that they are fed up and ready to walk off. Illegals bringing "La Bomba de La Trunk" AKA 20 gallon containers full of liquid hydrogen (nonauthorized replacement for Genuine Petro Fuel) across the US southern border as bribes which is just unfair, violating fair trade laws, unjustly reducing oil company profits and in many cases being exchanged for entry with no road or sales tax paid.

A pouting strike for the rest of the weekend and maybe a full fledged sickout could occur!! (code amber alert has been declared)

dlmcbm, don't build a second unit, just up the electrolyte to increase the current to 20amps thru your present unit. The only advantage to having two units would be it would spread the heat. If you don't travel more than two hours at a time, you may not need a second unit.

I fixed Tim's link.

Ok, that is wired in a straight series from what I see in the picture.

I was very disappointed this evening, I added three neutral plates to each side of my generator.
So now it is looking like this P||||||N||||||P.
I filled the unit and added sodium hydroxide to get the draw back up to 20 amps per side.
1 liter in 1 minute 33 seconds was the best I could do.
So my production was about 1/2 what it was my first time out.

I drained some electrolyte off so I could check the plate voltage.
I found each plate was about 1.71 volts different than the charge plate.
12, 10.29, 8.58, 6.87, 5.16, 3.45, 1.71, 0, 1.71, 3.45, 5.16, 6.87, 8.58, 10.29, 12

If I checked any two adjacent plates, the voltage difference was 1.71 volts.

So the diferential voltage does hold true, even though there are no connections to the middle plates.
I am running + power to both the 12 plates and the ground wire to the 0 plate.
I did reverse the power wires to see if that made any difference, it did not.
I also tried running it like this, P|||||||||||||N.
Gas was 1/2 what I made the first time tonight, 1 liter in 3 minutes 10 seconds.

The generator seemed to stabilize at about 100 degrees temp wise, so that was a plus.

I am still waiting on enough nylon washers to space all the plates at .0625" (1/16").
Right now one end is spaced at 1/16" and the other is spaced 1/8" between all the plates.

Time for revision 5.

Dave did you do any etching on your plates? I suspect taller plates will cavitate more and shifting 90 degrees may be more effective...

Dave,

Thanks for fixing the link! My dislexick fingers did not pick up on the missing bracket! LOL!

Lowell, i have my electolyte at 4 TBLSPN potassium hydroxide to 2.5 gallons distilled water. When i finished the units and started testing i used tap water and baking soda and the output of HHO was very low so i dumped it out and went to distilled water and wallah! HHO in large quantity! The KOH or pot ash is more caustic than i would like but it produces.

Milehighhydroguy,
Do you buy your box or make them. If you make them could you give some info on how? I'd like to make one the size of a car battery and relocate one or both of my batteries to inside the van in a battery box. There is no room whatsoever under that hood.
