I would like to take you up on your offer for a copy of the manuals for your truck. I just purchased an 84 F-350 with a 91 7.3 idi, and most if not all the systems were by-passed. It has plenty of issues but I love the look of the truck. Perhaps a trans swap is down the road, thank you for all of your posts.

    Thank you in advance,

Lol I thought that this was private... I need to make 5 posts. I'll try to private message you with my email address then.

I notice a conversation someone tried to strike up with you regarding the C6 to E4od tranny swap. I'm sure many others would like to do the same. Especially, considering if you plan to drive on todays freeways. I have some questions regarding the change if you have the time to respond? Thanks

Ok after googling C6 to E4od swap I found two posts that you were apart of and your sig has exactly what i want to do in it so i thought I would ask for some advice. Backround: I searched for motorhomes in my budget with what i need for a long time, came across a 1984 E-350 with the 6.9L international. Now I am very partial to this motor because growing up my parents purchased a 1986 F-350 new that had it and we logged 387K mi on it before my dad scrapped it. STILL RAN when he did. very pissed about it but is off topic. I want to pull the C6 that is in this motorhome and swap in a E4OD with a stand alone controller. What budget would i be looking at for that? would $3,000 cover the swap? I know i need the controller, move the crossmember, and a new driveshaft. could you send me some pictures of the under side of your setup? any links? or helpful hints? if you could please point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly.

This is the plug I'm running on the diesel ranger: 6625,NGK 6625 Glow Plug

    ngk 6625 y-107

Its supposed to be a dual coil and takes VERY long to heat up. Plan on 30 seconds or more if it gets cold in your neck of the woods. Even in the summer I give 20 seconds to avoid unsightly sputtering. I didn't bother swapping over the complex fast glow control system from the donor truck, so I've got these ones on a push button. I douby it will work with the factory system that mitsubishi offered on the 4D55T.

I saw on a post through Google that you swapped to Kabota glow plugs in your 2.3 diesel. I was wondering what plugs and and additional parts are needed. My plugs are shot and its my first winter with the truck and haven't found a solution. Thanks, Ryan

Jay, the cruise control cable has an adjustment at the injector pump end. Pop it off the throttle linkage and you should see a small black steel clip (try using a magnet to find it since everything else will be black plastic). Pop that off and the outer sleeve will slide off to reveal the notches of the cable casing. That will be your adjustment. Moving the cable casing closer to the throttle arm will REDUCE the maximum power the cruise control can apply (this increases the effective cable length). Moving it away will increase the amount of power (this shortens the effective cable length).

Hey Dave, I was wondering how you adjusted your cruise to reduce the throttle input? I use the cruise quite a bit in my E250 and think this could help my MPG a bit. I searched and couldn't find an answer. I also didnt see where I could PM you from. Thanks
