Marty: I've seen wheels Grey, White and the kind of Mustard Yellow. So you're choice on that.
Yes the 600 rear doors "should" fit as they are of the same design BUT each one of these Cab/Door sets were built as a unit as far as I understand it so no 2 doors are exactly the same but the differences should be very minimal.

You want the different door handles I'm guessing?
Thanks, no the doors on my CC are a little rough and I can repair them but it will take a lot of work. I have a lead on someone with a F650 CC dump truck that he is willing to sell the doors. My wheels must have been the goldish, yellowish color, they are well worn but am surely not going to repaint them that color. Right now my color plan is to two tone the truck light blue on the bottom and royal blue on the top. I will probably go with white rims. I was wondering if they ever color matched the rims to a color on the truck. They might look pretty god in the same light blue as the bottom of the truck BUT I really want to keep it pretty close to stock although I am not going to strictly adhere to originality like an obsession.
If you're going to get doors off an F-500+ then get all 4, they have different outer door handles and interior panels so you would want all of them to match.
I thing color mating the wheels might be a little much, need something to break up all that blue.
I know a couple of yall asked about me posting a build thread on my crew that is getting bagged and bodydropped. I dont have a thread on it but if you have an instagram account and want to watch pictures of the build check it out @projectwhitegold
I will also occassionally post pics on here. Just ordered my first round of new parts today and it is currently in the shop getting paint and body done.
Here is the rendering:
And heres what im starting with:

I like it! I seriously considered dropping my CC but I think I am going to use it to tow my cars to car shows and I don't think it would be practical for that use. I love lowered old cars and trucks. I have lowered the last 4 projects of mine (65 Ford wagon, 71 Riviera, 62 Ford Sedan Delivery, 67 Olds Cutlass)

Would love to see pics of your projects...i had originally planned on using this to tow my edsel, which is also bagged, but i decided to go 26" wheels instead of 24" so it probably wont be good for towing cuz ill be scared to bend a wheel...and as much as 26" intro smoothies cost i probably wont chance it. Only reason i decided on 6's over 4's is because 6's havent been done yet
I was one of the guys hoping for a build thread, and I'm still asking for one! I asked if you had a thread when people were bashing your truck on Facebook, would love to see it come together and be able to help you trouble shoot. The crew I have now is a 2wd with a slight lift, will get lifted more. The next crew I get (if 2wd) will be lowered. By the way, did you pay to have that rendering done? Amazes me people can draw those.
Ill try to get a thread started. And yes the rendering cost me $185 which included a print of it. Most professional renderings are anywhere from $100-$300 and up
Here is a question some of you may know the answer too. How rare is my truck? Its a 1979 F250 crew 2wd shortbed, 460 & c6 auto, factory heat and ac.
Ive only ever seen one other 2wd shortbed crew for sale and ive been looking for awhile, i know of another 2wd longbed but all the other crews ive seen seem to be 4wd
What is the value of these trucks like mine? Im not asking a sale price just curious what its worth
Ill get one going for you non social media guys hahaha. I dont want to leave yall out
YES!
I already have 3 forms of social media and 4 forums to keep up with, there's just TOO MANY these days.
Concerning the value of a 2wd CCSB, I paid $800 for mine running/driving. Anything is only worth what someone will pay and it's all relative. Seen then go for $175 up to $55,000 and there isn't near enough information on your truck to give any kind of estimate.
Not sure where you're looking but they are pretty easy to find, 2wd CCSB was the highest produced style of Crew Cabs.

I paid $5500 for mine, excellent shape, needed a cab corner. All original except for bed, interior is in very good shape. Had 50k miles original, was a university of nebraska work truck its whole life. I know some people looking for these trucks but all i ever found is 4x4. The only other 2wd short bed i saw the dude wanted $8k and it was in a little better shape than mine. Like u said i may not be looking in the right places. Would love to get my hands on another to put a diesel motor in and use as a tow pig.
