i have an 03 6.0. rear engine seal replaced twice. still leaked, ford put new engine in.bought superchips microtuner & programmed truck. 2000miles after engine swap rear seal leaked again. programmed back to stock. dealer found odd code &ford wont warrenty now, ford said with programmer its building to much crankcase pressure. programmer works great, any recoarse i can do to ford or superchips.
What code did they find? After you set the truck back to stock the P1000 code and I think one other is thrown. Both are the same thing that is thrown when the battery is disconnected and goes away after a few driving cycles.
One is the keep alive memory being reset and the other is that the truck needs more driving - both are normal.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

What "odd codes" did they see?
If it's P0603 or P1000, they regularly occur on stock trucks.
You had a problem stock, before any programmer was installed, you had it fixed, installed a programmer, and it happened again.
Sounds to me like it's happening with or without a modified program in it.
Have a sit down conversation with the service manager....be nice and try to put him in your shoes, and yourself in his. You will probably get it covered under warranty.
If you don't, FIGHT!
Finally got it in, just hooked up the SCMT in HP mode, had to have my girl friend drive my truck, because I broke my right leg and tore my ACL pracrticing supercross. But anyway the truck scared my girl friend, I LOVE IT. the wait was worth it, and by the way I had her use the cruise control, no problems.

Well Tim I did what you said and finally got the latest flash. Of course it took bringing them the actual flash I wanted. Then they tried to bill me $551.00 for the reflash since it was at my request and not Fords. I have 35 miles over the 36000 warranty and almost paid it but eventually got it free. Truck is ready for tuner now. Yippie! Just got to decide if I should order from Motorhaven and wait or go up the street to Truck and Trailer USA who has it in stock. The confusion never ends.

Incidentally, how much more driving or how many driving cycles are we talking about ... does anyone know? I am planning a visit to my dealer in the next week or two and want to make sure I return the truck to stock far enough ahead of time so that the "thrown codes" go away on their own.
