were there any noises associated with the AC failure ?
after hitting 8k on my 7.3 super duty I hear a singing from the motor like a belt or pump going ? Like old water pumps would sing a little when they started to go didn’t they ?
That's a shame with that dealership, I don't know if you ordered that truck through Ford or if you just bought it off of the lot. If you bought it off the lot then you're kind of at the mercy of the dealership, if you ordered it through Ford then I am not sure if the dealership has any responsibility with that but I know I ordered mine through Ford online and the dealership that I went to to honored the truck and did me very well. I don't know what to really tell you but I would definitely not go back to that dealership, depends on how bad you want that truck, too bad you can't return it to the dealership get your money back and go to a different dealership and get it from a different dealership. The dealership I dealt with likes to stay on Ford's good side, so they helped me out quite extensively, your dealership it sounds like they are kind of working their way out of the Ford business if they keep giving more issues I can see Ford pulling their dealership from them. I will tell you this much the new Tundras from Toyota are having recalls on their engines, my buddy bought a brand new Chevy it was a diesel and it's been back twice for engine work, and my cousin bought a Dodge so far his is running okay but I'm not a Dodge fan and I don't trust Dodge. So depending on what you want to do I get it, I would probably try to see if I could take it to a different dealership might be your best bet, but it depends on your business and time frame.
Yea I bought it off the lot because I needed a Dually for my company. I have to move some heavy equipment around and anything less that a 350/3500 class Dually just isn't safe. I wish I had known about this issue. If I had, I would have ordered the truck directly from Ford or I would have opted for a Chevy/GMC/Dodge.
So here's what LHM Ford in Mesa AZ found with my 2024 F350.
Performed PCM KOEO self test, retrieved P2CFC, performed pinpoint test, C1=YES, C2=YES, pinpoint C2 directs to replace coil but visual inspection found that the compressor was seized. A/C system replacement and flushing is necessary. Replace A/C compressor removed & replaced desiccant bag in the condenser removed & replaced expansion valve, flushed A/C system. EVAV & Recharge.
I have a 2024 F250 STX Standard 6.7 with 4000 miles on it. Compressor failed. Dealer said not eta on repair. Living here in California that is a hard pill to swallow. Dealer stated to take truck back and bring in when the compressor is in stock. Dealer says the list is growing daily. A buddy of mine had a failure today as well with around 9000 miles on it.
Joined the team today. 1534 Miles on my 2024 F250 XLT. Blowing hot air. Dealership told me the part isn't available and are trying to get an estimate on when the part will be available.
Update: AC Clutch isn't engaging (what they told me). Ford is yet to respond to the dealer and provide any ETA on availability.
Question for the group: I have a new truck that is less than a month old. Is there anything that can be done other than wait? Loss of use during August might qualify for a Lemon Law. It seems ridiculous.

So... is it not engaging because the clutch coil is bad or it is not getting an electrical signal to engage?
Big difference. Clutch coils seem to be available most places online and if the tech knows how to blow their nose, they should be able to diagnose the electrical aspect without Ford intervention.
Others have found that the clutch not engaging is due to the compressor being bad (seized / locked up) I would ask them to check that or you may be waiting longer for parts.

Loss of use in August, from a Lemon Law perspective, will not likely matter compared to loss of use in April, or any other month of the year.
What matters is total number of days of loss of use, and total number of service visits to fix the same issue, where applicable.
So anyone who has lost confidence in their new truck, and who plans to invoke the lemon law to get out from underneath the burden of paying for a new truck that isn't working right, might want to leave the truck with the dealer until parts can be obtained and a proper repair made. The more days in the dealer's hands, the fewer days remaining before Lemon Law can be invoked, regardless of what month those days happen to fall within.
Doing so might conjecturally* help expedite the repair, as Ford knows what the lemon laws are in each state, and to the extent that Ford wishes to reduce having to reacquire vehicles by operation of law, Ford might prioritize sending parts to dealers with moss growing on customer's trucks in the service lot first.
*"Conjecturally" as opposed to "actually"... means that I am just guessing, or conjecturing, the possibility of Ford prioritizing parts for dealers with waiting customer's trucks dry docked on their lot.
I invoked the Lemon Law through Ford customer service as it had been 50 days without AC.
A few days later I sent Ted Cannis another email.
The next day I recieved a call from the dealer service department notifying me that a compressor had been delivered by overnight shipping. While on that call, Mr. Cannis’ assistant called to let me know that they shipped it overnight. I took it a few days later and was out the door in 3 hours. Been good for almost two weeks.

No noise from mine when it failed that I noticed. However, a few have reported some noise.
Truck was repaired 8/09, been working great since. I did email Ted Cannis back on July 28th and received a phone call from one of his assistants, a couple of days later. Told me they had a compressor for me and would get it to my dealer within the week. I believe the email helped my repair, the dealer could never give me a time line for my repair. I wasn't threatening lemon law or demanding in my email, I just asked what efforts Ford was putting forward to resolve this issue for so many. For me, I appreciate the effort from Ford's customer service. It should not have came to this but it is what it is. Hope to never have another A/C issue in the next few years.
After 39 days my my truck was repaired today. So far so good!
Compressor and kit.
