Jim O'NEALFord in Sellersburg IN got their hand on a AC compressor for my truck.Dropping off later today.
Ok. I pulled the trigger on a new ride. Build date is Jan 2024, compressor date is 23W51, meaning late December. So far, so good, but only 300 miles. Dealer did mention a TSB or something about an A/C inspection that was roughly 3 hours.

Saw this on another forum. Provides dates Ford suspects as the problem compressors.
This is huge! Thanks for posting that. Pretty much confirms the notion that it was a faulty batch of compressors, rather than some other A/C design issue.
Thanks for sharing! That's good info for people who may be having A/C issues. My window sticker shows 12-20-23 and the door jamb shows 1-2024. Guess one is a start when the "order" was locked in the system, and the other a finish date. Between those dates and the compressor build I mentioned earlier, I may get lucky, but I'm prepared just in case it fails.
Dang, so it's not a matter of IF but WHEN it fails?
Ours is a March 2024 build.
Hopefully they actually resolved the issue. Nonetheless, for all you folks that fall within that build range. Thankfully there is a warranty . They should give you a free oil change and engine steam cleaning while your truck is in there.
Quite the story for these friends of mine and their 2023 F-350 Air Conditioning. Any suggestions on what they should do?
It's certainly frustrating, especially in Arizona summer. They should have given them a loaner vehicle. Nonetheless, it will eventually get fixed under warranty. There were so many claims the parts were on national backorder. At least it's a fixable item (relatively easily), and the truck will be good after they get it back.
I purchased a new VW Atlas V6 in 2019. The head gasket blew at 15k. I couldn't believe it. Apparently it was a common issue for that year. VW didn't buy it back either. Can't get more lemon than that. It was fixed under factory warranty, but I traded it in after that. I didn't really like it anyway.. lol.
