Has Ford issued a recall yet for those 81,000+ vehicles? Not having the defrost function (operates from A/C) is downright scary under certain weather conditions, huge safety issue depending on climate. Been a lifelong Ford owner but the way the company has been run into the ground over the last few years has soured me away from them. Already told the wife no more Fords so she bought a Toyota recently.
Hey Ford rep... how did that artificially forced EV push work out for you guys??

well, if you feel there is a safety issue then you should probably park it and not knowingly drive a potentially dangerous vehicle wile pursuing relief from ford.
Thats the legality of knowing there’s an issue.
The defrost function on the A/C of my 2024 F350 Tremor Sport works perfectly well. The only strange thing the A/C in my truck does, is every once in a while the fan speed will increase a couple notches up. No input from me. It only does this on highway trips, extremely infrequently. But the defrost works just fine.
Looks like I may be added to the list. Just turned 9k and air went from ice cold to warm on a trip. Won’t be back home for a couple of weeks to have my dealer diagnose. Compressor isn’t engaging and no slow speed fan increase, so expecting the worst. I thought my ‘24 with the RED VIN was maybe an exception.
Just had my compressor replaced. 19K miles on my 23 built in Sept of 23. I could actually cycle the A/C button on and off to get it to blow cold for awhile. Compressor started making noises.
When you all's compressor fails, does it happen suddenly? Or does it kind of linger between blowing warm air and cool air for a bit before it finally quits?
The A/C on my truck blew a little bit of warmer air today for the first time. It was still cool, but warmer than usual. Just for a few minutes, then got colder again. Had it not been a known issue, I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but now I'm a little concerned. Truck has 9400 miles; build date Oct 2024.

By June of 24 the mass compressor problem was resolved, but you can always get a lemon.

Not 100% it’s the compressor on mine yet but it started the day blowing super cold as normal, then just went warm. No issues before this. Haven’t been able to get the compressor to engage since. Luckily we’re up in Michigan on a couple week trip and the temps are cool.
2024 F-350 King Ranch 6.7 HO
Build: 1/2024
Current Mileage: 2118
First A/C occurance started around 1000 miles. Only blows hot when outside ambient temps are over 80 and only when truck is hot. Occurs more frequently and severly when towing. Stops occurring once cooled down and idling in a shop or in the shade. Can idle for an hour and never occur.
Took into shop on October 30th where it spent 20 days and they were unable to replicate.
Went to pick up on 6/18 and AC failed as I was leaving dealership.
Turned around and took it back in where I was able to have the shop foreman do a ride along and we replicated it. Was hooked up to diagnostic equipment at the time the air blew hot, no codes or any indicator of what the problem was.
Still in shop where they can now move forward with further diagnostics given they've witnessed the issue first hand.
Currently awaiting official diagnosis with no ETA.
any updates? having same issue with dealer, they cant replicate it.

Mine did the same thing - went from cold to warm while driving, but was fine for a while after the truck sat for a few hours. This turned out to be a failed internal sensor in the evaporator. My dearer replaced the evaporator under warranty a few weeks ago. So far, so good.
Lucky am I so far
mine works very well
It will randomly increase fan.. if it's on one or two
When driving into sun
Or the like
Then throttle back down after a few
I also run mine in vent , and windshield air flow mode most of time
This way it flows cool air up and around the top of cab
plus a bit on the floor
My truck also recently recieved the big apim update, that iirc caught the hvac update
So far no change

Why is it that a manufacturer can have something that works perfectly fine for decades, then, for some reason, that's not good enough. Noooooooo. It has to be redesigned, which many times turns into a fail.
