Digging around on YouTube a while back, I found a channel that is run by a guy that used to live a few doors down from me, does a great walk through of the steps to paint a truck. Thought I would share if anyone is interested.
After research trac bar mounts I decided to cut down the factory one off the 77.
So spent some time with the grinder wheel this afternoon making it fit. It looks similar to one of the mounts I found so gonna weld it on tomorrow then the only issue I will have is getting my steering fixed.
Well got the trac bar mount melted on... uhh I mean welded on.
also hooked up the wiring to the new switch panel, just need a battery and to hook the wiring up. Also ran the wires to distributor... just need to pick up some connectors for that. Gonna have to pick up a coil aswell and just hook the wires up to it. Got some primer on the front fenders aswell. Decided to quit for today because of the heat. Gonna do a little more tinkering tomorrow.
Well got some more work done on the truck today. Got the ignition box mounted and just have to mount the coil and attach those wires. I also got the radiator out in, got the bumper and hood on and smeared a tiny bit more paint so I can start putting the girl and head lights back in sometime. Also got the rest of the truck in primer.
So here is where we are at as of now...
Set the tent up for a little shade
Then got the hood out did a little sanding and smeared some primer
While the hood dried I put the bumper back on
Then when a buddy brought some stuff over I got him to give me a hand setting the hood back on and get that bolted in.
Tomorrow I plan on taking the tires to get swapped to the Alum wheels. Got to pick up a new metal chop saw blade so I can cut my drives shafts and make them the right length.
Before i rolled the truck I wanted it to set like it is now, so when the wife showed interest in driving a mud truck I jumped on it and drug it out of the weeds.
Tires are loaded up plan to go drop them off in the morning.
Mud, Got to say truck is looking good.
I don't know how you can work in this heat? Just walking the dog around the yard I was sweating.

Did the wife want to drive the dirt car? If so might not have been too bad to let her take it out and give it a try.
My ex-wife raced jeeps off road, Hill climbs, sand drags and 10 laps with 10 trucks on moto-x tracks.

No she never wanted to drive on the track, she said it was to dangerous, too many people. Soo I am hoping the mud racing will be more her style.
Ran into another "I tried it and it didn't work" case. Had balance beads put in my new tires 5k miles ago. Develops an awful shaking after hitting bumps along with intermittent shaking at speeds over 60. Front end is tight, gonna set up an appointment and see if Wesley's boys can remove the beads and get them right with lead weights.

Are you trying to avoid having clip on weights on the exterior of the wheel?
Primer came in today. Forgot I was taking the afternoon off to help clear Mary's stuff out of her school. Not sure what time I'll get back today so no telling if I'll get the cab primed tonight. However doors and cab shouldn't take long. I do wish I have more space. Guess I need to get a 3 bay workshop next time.

Yes, the shop I went to wouldn't do clip on weights just on the inside of the wheel and wouldn't use stick on weights, so that's how I ended up with beads. They "claimed" they wouldn't balance out.
