I have a 66 F100 Flareside. Bought almost three years ago from a guy in VA as an incomplete project. It doesn't look much better yet but it drives better!
Currently fixing a bunch of interior water leaks. Removed some more mildew smelling carpet yesterday and dug out some cracker fiberglass over the kickpanel that was allowing water to seep into the cab when it rained.
Cheap fishing rack rebuild and repainted. Color contrast. Thoughts?

Josh, what year is your truck? I have a chrome step bumper on my style side 81 parts truck that I will not use on my flare side, they just don't look right.

Dave, it's an 89. I'll have to come look at the step bumper, as it might work. A friend in high school had an 85 flare side with a step bumper, that thing looked sweet.
So one of the guys rode up from Raeford as he needed a hand with his truck. He has some experience spraying so he took a look at the stuff I sprayed on Saturday, seems to think it's going on too dry.
What's happening guys!
I haven't done much on Ka'Bluey yet, but I have been getting some parts gathered up.
This coming up Sunday, I hope to have the replacement dash. I snagged a SWEET chrome roll bar that has mounting tabs for some KC, off road lights. The roll bar came out of a monster truck named High Roller, before it's name was changed to, High Roller. And I also ended up getting a pair of bed rails for the dent side trucks.
I've gone back and forth about keeping the stacks or not. And scoring that roll bar made my mind up for me.
Hope y'all are doing well.

That light color looks like it was ok/wet but not seeing it in person makes it hard to tell.
When ever you want to come by and look at it let me know.
BTW a style side step bumper & flare side step bumper are two different bumpers.
The style side bumper is wider and if used on a flare side it sticks out on each side. It does bolt up so that is not an issue.

As we saw in the roll over truck!
When racing off road I was happy I went over board on the cage and to the frame when it did not need to and was happy I did more than 3 time!
That's what happens when racing 10 trucks for 10 laps on the Moto-X track.

That truck was a street truck not a race truck at the time. Besides most all if those roll bars are basically for look and don't have much of any structural integrity.
I know on the looks that is why you add other bars& plates from frame to where the bar bolts in making sure to bevel the edges of the plates to the floor side.
We also had to add a plate over the driver, we did the full top, so if it rolled in soft soil it would not sink in and hurt the driver.

Yeah, I got tired of not having a bay to work in, so I blocked up the box on the back of the truck. I'll slide it back a foot or so when I spray next then It'll sit there till I'm ready to crank it. I'll be able to get to the fuel system in case I need to.
Won't be long now. The next big thing is getting the doors back together on it, as the next spray will just be a quick 2k color sand. If I had kept my butt out of the paint, I wouldn't worry about doing another round of spraying. But... that's how it goes..
Still it won't be long and I'm very happy with it...
