So it would fit, but you'll find that either you are riding on the center and get some major uneven tire wear and wear through them a lot faster, or that you have to run a lower than standard air pressure, which will effect gas mileage and ride due to side wall flex. I'm going to guess less than 35 psi. Which depending on the load range may not be optimal.
However, if you did try them, and found that they are wearing unevenly, you could then keep an eye out for some used Steel Wagon wheels, or even buy new. I think black steelies would go well with the pink camo! I also think new they run about 55.00 (but then I haven't bought any in 7 years or so).
I have considered going with a more traditional rim size but I get confused with all the offset/backspacing required to get the tires to fit without rubbing the leafs. There are so many threads in the excursion forum it makes my head hurt trying to figure it all out.
Easier for me to stay with what fits on my stock rim. And 315's or approx 34.5" is about the max on the excursion stock wheels. When folks go to true 35's on the excursion they almost always have to upgrade their rims.

I gotcha, well if and when you decide to change them out, we will help out with the backspacing, after all its not our money right? But I agree, bumpers, wheels and such are appearance mostly, and not worth spending money on until all the functional items are done. Oh and having owned a winch for going on 8 or 10 years, it's been one of my favorite upgrades to the jeep. Even with the under powered alternator and battery. I still use it more than any other upgrade I've done!

People run 315s on 16x7s, it's not ideal or recommended, but it's done really often. I've seen some bullethole 16x10 8x170 wheels for cheap on Craigslist. I know procomp aluminum 16x10s for mine are under $95 a piece shipped. I'd go that route, my buddy has some on his f250 with 315s, barely scrubs on the leaves and it sits lower than James's excursion.
Got a few minutes this afternoon and got the 96 f350 4x4 drag link bolted in. So the solid axle swap short of driveshafts is officially wrapped up. Glad I spent $68 on the F350 deal instead of the one on bromco graveyard that was $125.
Now I got like 20 ways to go, I don't know what to work on next.....
