Well, it sounds like the flag pole is coming along nicely. Also had a thought, why not mount a cheap HF electric winch to the back of the go cart to use as an automatic dump for the sweeper.
Alright, so update on the big truck. Catherine has now renamed it babe, she is slightly losing it, due to realizing just how many vehicles I have.
I picked babe up from the shop it was at. Drove it back to Catherine’s house. It did great. Still lots of play in the
steering and brakes are super soft. But engine ran smooth, oil pressure stayed high, and temp stayed under 210 for the trip. So overall I’m happy. Once I get the brakes sorted out, and maybe a steering shaft, I’ll be even happier, then I’ll start on the interior.
I believe there is an oring that seals the axle to the hub.
Yea I think I found it. Cheapo piece, like $2 or $3. Just seems to look more like a seal in the videos I have seen. Guess I will find out in due time lol.

I'll keep an eye out on the campout. No promises or guarantees lol. Never made poppers before, but shouldn't be to difficult.
Whats up fellers?!
Finally a break in the weather here. Our water ban that we've been on for a week or so has been lifted, finally.
Shari's 08 Escape hit 70k on the clock yesterday, and my truck day's away from hitting 90k. So yesterday her car got it's oil and filter change, tires rotated, and washed.
Today my truck got the same thing and still needs attention inside with Killer getting in there anytime I'm just doing errands around town.
Shari's on a weekend getaway with a buddy's wife, Tim is at work, and will most likely have plans. So, I'm here unsupervised for the day so far. We'll see what happens later with that one.
Hope y'all have a great weekend!
I got the old greasy turd pulled today.... got some things to do this afternoon so hopefully tomorrow I can get it pushed out and pressure wash the front half of the frame while it is out.
Finally got around to leak testing the fuel tank, found the sending unit is leaking where the tubes go into the mounting plate on the sender, it's one hole, I'm gonna try to braze it shut. Gauge and everything else works fine on the sender, no longer available from Ford and MTS has a iffy reputation on tanks, not sure on their repro sending units.

You have had the worst luck with fixing that fuel tank man. Hopefully that's the final step.

When I capped off the rollover valve, and the filler neck and the supply fuel line nipple and took a little hand held pump with a hose on the return line, the whole tank bowed and expanded, tells me it can't be leaking too much. Gotta do my pivot bushings too, backing in the tires are bowing in.

You remembered that huh....
A few errands around town this morning, and the 2013 is legal for 2 more years, and made it to the lake for an hour or so.
I'm hoping we can get something going on Ka'Bluey soon.
didnt take any pics... but had to sort out why the horn was being so temperamental on the mustang... thought it was just corrosion on the terminals for the pump.. but when i took the pump apart to see if i could pull the male terminals to put a layer of solder on them i discovered the pump had actually rotted out... ntm one of the tension springs for the brushes was broke off so it wouldnt hold the brush against the motors winding which was probably the biggest problem as to why it wasnt always working...
was a good thing i still hadnt installed the ones on the passenger side as i just took the pump motor from that set and put it in on the driver side.. also replaced the little female terminals on the wire ends.. so now its ready for inspection again.... after i finished playing with the pump for the horns i cleaned up the headlights so now theyre nice and clear again... tried to with the truck as well and while i got alot of the yellow out on it... theres still a good bit there too...
front... they are Truck-Lite brand just rebagged in Napa bags...
good place to be made dont ya think??
little conductor grease...
pulled the tail gate to make it easier to work on the lights... i keep forgetting how heavy that thing is...
close up of the lights.... ironically the nice looking one in the center was the one that burned out...
New ones on the left in the pic with the old one on the right...
what would have been a 5 minute job turned into a 3 hr one when i decided to remove the mounting bracket so i could clean the plugs easier... the one bolt came off but the other one snapped in the nut... so had to scour the garage for 2 new ones... the plugs were covered in greasy grimey gunk...
new light in and polished up the other 2 lights... so now theyre all glossy and nice... bought 2 so now i have a spare... found the one on the right the casings cracked... wondering how long before it gets water inside and shorts out...
while i was working on the bracket i found my spare tire was flopping around under the truck... when i went to tighten the tire back into place i discovered the reason why the spare was flopping around... it somehow went totally flat not a lb of air in it... not sure why.. wasnt flat when i used it last time and i check it on a regular basis every couple months... the ones that pound the pavement i tend to do atleast once a month... in addition to that one being flat the rear tires were down 35psi.. and the front ones both low by 20psi... got them all topped back up and the spare filled...
