Ran into John yesterday at Harbor Freight when I was picking up a transmission jack and having the truck he gave a quick look over of the bed and how I did the floor and bolted the side walls to it.
Also found he was running all over on Saturday and not a good time to meet up to see what he has between the 2 trucks to make 1 good one and WWDD (What Would Dave Do).
Did you get the car out of the garage and cleaned up for the show? I was thinking of washing the truck and let the rain rinse the soap off but my chair was to cuffy LOL.
Shawn, looking good.
I take it the wheels are also wider?
Nothing done to the truck other than took it to work Wed / Thur / Fri. had not had it out for a about 2 weeks.
Thinking of taking the trash to the dump in it today.

I said to myself "Hey I think I know that guy" and when I saw you were walking towards a red & white stepside F-100 I knew I was right
I got my Mustang out and went to the Cars & Coffee meet in Clayton. It's so cold, overcast, and drizzling that I did not expect a good turnout, but there was about 60 cars there! Also had a food truck called The Waffle Wagon. I got myself one of their specials, with a waffle, bacon, and cheese, and then found out they were out of knives. So I had to eat it with my hands. What a mess.
Dave I know you said you use old gas as a degreaser for engine / trans, etc. I have a parts cleaner that I fill with kerosene and use that as my soak tank. I have a gallon of old kerosene sitting out there, if you think you could use it. I change it out when it gets too dark to see the bottom of the tank. If I have to put my hands in it I definitely prefer kerosene over gasoline!
Big tasty waffle with syrup, bacon, and cheese. But try to eat it with just a plastic fork.
from 16x7 to 17x9... tires went from 225/55-16 to 275/40-17
I remember seeing a mach 1 that body style a while back with some 335 wide tires on it, that'd be shoehorned in.
Working on the rear shoes on the f250, apparently the drum was worn out past it's Max diameter and the shoes/adjusters needed cleaning, just replaced everything.
Replaced some busted fog lights on the sport Trac.

the ones running those have the 10" wide rims... i could have technically gone with the 45 or 50 sidewall height.. but the 40's kept my speedo accurate to what they were with the stock ones... well as accurate as it can be... speedo reads 5 high... had i gone with a 50 sidewall height i would have made it accurate lol...
Dustin, glad to see those brakes are going easy for you.
Sparky, the wheels look good.
All I did was try to pull the interior of the one ton and break off every dang seatbelt bolt I could. But I did find about 20 lbs of mud back int he carpet and other areas. I'm looking for a real sharp set of blue door panels. Mine are pretty plain, but I see some trucks had them with pockets and carpet in the panel. I'd like to find that with the window crank set up. Will be ordering dyna mat and other sound\heat insulators soon, as well as head liner material.
Today I helped a buddy of mine rebuild the front end of this truck. He just recently bought a 01 Super crew like mine. Today we out new upper/lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar links, rotors, and brake hose. Took s little longer than it should of, but it consisted of a couple trips to the parts store.
Brakes were a pain, mostly because I smashed my thumb and broke a pair of vise grips holding some springs. Stops pretty good now. Rear drum was way beyond the max diameter, couldn't adjust them out any further.
Josh you may can spruce up your panels. Mine has insulation glued on behind the panels, and under the carpet, never felt the need to add more to it.
I just break out the tape measure, some string, and plumb bob. I'm sure Dave has done it that way as well @FuzzFace2
But seriously. If i need an alignment done and I care about it. then I take it to Wesley. He will do it right and cheap.
I was going to take it to Tar Heel Tire which is down the street from the house... personally i dont think it "needs it" but with the old tires one of the time it went in for inspection it was suggested to get one... but anytime i get new tires i have it aligned.. when ive messed with the trucks suspension i got it close with the tape measure.. matter fact when i took it in they told me (ntm got the report) it was "almost" close enough to not need it but was just barely within spec... they got it more true...
Sometimes with alignment machines, if "it's in the green" it's good enough.. We had to do a car alignment once with the guy sitting in the car as his weight (about 350 pounds) was enough to change the settings.
