I believe one of the 5 fan shroud bolts will be going in there.

Edit: In some of the descriptions I read before I was removing mine for some front work, they were calling for removing the 4 bolts .... my 2003 had 5 .... oh well.

That would be where one of the two idler pulleys bolts onto, on vehicles equipped with dual alternators.

The dowels that go that locate the rocker arms only go on the end rocker arms at all four corners.

Curious what that coolant recirculating system is you're talking about there, that's threaded into your head... That's not an OEM part of the system, is it?

No it's not stock. There was talk a coue years ago about the coolant dead heading around cylinders 7 n 8. This kit gives the coolant a place to go at the back of the block. I threaded lines into the back of the heads, and originally they threaded into the thermostat housing in the front cover. I'm gonna change it and thread the lines into the coolant bottle,,,, then I can see how much coolant actually flows through there. I used to have steel braided lines,,, which were cool, but I think they are good for short term extreme duty. I had one line start leaking. The braids were breaking, and puncturing the hose,,, causing a soaker hose effect. Not cool. I'm goin back with regular rubber hose with hose clamps. Ole faithful. I also got some hvac tape that in gonna wrap the hoses with to try n battle the heat that's back there. We will c how it works.
