If I could see a pic of the Inner part of seal if its rubber with that spring then it wasnt meant to seal to crank
Benny,
That's what I was thinking when I asked if that was lube on the crank, at the time I was hoping it was some sort of product I wasn't familiar with. If you look at the pics carefully, the wear ring goes on the end of the crank, sort of an extension if you will, and then another cover goes on that make it look like the end of the crank is still flush with the cover. In the loctite pic the end of the crank is about flush with the cover, on goes the wear ring- and another cover- that makes it look like the crank is still flush with the cover and the seal is going in over the loctite in the next pic. There is no loctite on the inside of the seal. It farther back in the assembly between two metal surfaces.

Here's some pics of my extra front seal

The wear ring is easily removed,,,, actually could fall out if not careful.

Here is the edge that makes contact with the wear ring,,,

Just kinda like some trans seals
From the factory our trucks come as you are thinking. The seal rides on the crank. The wear ring keeps us from having to worry about the condition of the flange. Very low chance of oil leaking between the crank n wear ring,,,, but that always gives a brand new surface for the seal to ride on. That point in my last pic is the rubbing point while the engine is running.

My freakin heater just quit. It's a master blp155. Crap. The igniter just pops, n doesn't spark. Wtf. I'm gonna try to hook up a spark plug n rule out the heater itself.

What does the ignitor look like ? Propane has 2 types of igniters that can
be used other than a pilot light. One type is a spark and the other is called
a Hot surface ignitor. Uses low voltage to heat a metal coil and that lights the
the propane gas. The thing looks like sandpaper on the coil and then sometimes crack
and then you have no heat

Sorry for the lapse,,, It's a single little bar that arcs against a ground bar. So it's a spark. It still sparks,,,, just a bit tho.

I've made some progress,,,,, kinda. I'm bummed about the rear cover gasket being missing. I've got the front done,,, but don't want to mess with the intake without doing the hpop first,,, which needs the rear cover to finish.

Here's some pics of where I'm at

There's my hose barbs threaded into the heads for the coolant kit

I spun the engine a bit

I'm drawing a blank,,,, it's late tho. What goes here????

The table is gettin pretty bare,,, still a bunch on the trailer tho

Basement is gettin bare also

I put the oil filter housing on,,,, but it's just finger tight,,, the intake needs to be on to finish the housing. I just wanted to clear the table.

Btw,,, would a regular spark plug run n spark good enough with low voltage???? No heat sux

Take some emery cloth and clean the electrodes and see if that
gets is working. If that does not do it most likely the ignitor is
bad. Check the connections and see if the wire in good.Use your
DMM to check that the wire is not broken, Just don't try to start it
with the DMM hooked up. That will toast the DMM.
