You are right that was uncalled for, and this thread needs to continue on with the info. I am sorry and hope you accept my apology.

If you expect your truck to pile on trouble free miles and last without replacing engine parts, then leave it the F&^% alone and dont run a F#$%ing chip in the 1st place.

Everyone was always saying how much power the 80 econo tune had, well thats seat of your pants proof you know the truck is working harder. What do you expect, a tune that adds 200 HP and makes the engine last 5x longer?
...

Its funny how I can drive a PMR motor for 130k, with stage 1's, stage 2's and hybrids, spraying water from 30k with meth up to 70% in testing... Yet that motor held up just fine, the only thing that took it out was an injector that did not get TQed down... When it was tore down, there was no cracks in the pistons, no burn marks from advanced timing. Nothing was wrong with that motor other then one bunged up cylinder wall...

So we get a new short block and think, I will change to the safest tuner there is for the 7.3... DP... 32k later, I am pulling the motor again due to a cracked block, no oil pressure...

What do we find? Cracked Block, Cracked pistons and cracked heads... Whats worse, I had DP's special PMR tunes and 30% meth tunes... So as I said before the timing should have been doubble retarded...

You guys dont like the graphs being posted, I would not myself if I bought tunes from someone thinking they were the safest on the market. Only to find out that was not the case.

Do I have a dog in this hunt... Nope... I dont run Power Hungry Performace tunes... Nor do I run Matts tunes... I have run every other tuner out there and will at some point...

Superchips, Edge, TS, DI, DP, TW, Elite, SCT, Cales...

Well that graph was read by someone other than Jody. So who's to say if can be read accurately by anyone other than him? Maybe it can and if so fine.

But if I understand things correctly, looking at that graph and drawing an absolute conclusion would be like reading the first page of a 1000 page novel and thinking you know the whole story. That's not a great analogy, but the best I can come with.

If you think that is all I have looked at to draw that conclusion then I am sorry... I post those graphs because the show the root cause of many of the 7.3 scrap blocks...

S.O.I...

As much as I know the graphs to be true and correct, Jody wants them to be untrue.

Offer will remain for Greg and Ken... I will pay to have your tunes checked. Nothing to hide, yet nothing to learn...

If I thought there was something wrong with my tuning, I might consider it.

I figured you would say that... I too was in the same boat when David would laugh at my ICP questions...

I though I was running the safest tuner avalable... Little did I know.

The offer remains. I kinda know you would not use it but...

You need to stop posting graphs of tunes that were read by someone's competition. It means nothing.
You're entitled to your views and opinions and to express them. But you need to have some facts to back it up. I've yet to see anything, you tried to post one graph but so far everything you have stated has been shot down.
Instead of telling us all DP sucks, has too much timing, and will blow your engine, the correct way is to say "here's what I know from personal experience." Which should be something along the lines of I added a DP Tuner on a suspect engine, ragged it, and it broke so now I hate DP Tuner and everyone else should too. Gossip is not gospel.
dang near every person on here who runs dp always jumps at the chance in a new tuner question thread hooting and hollering that dp tuner is the best. with over a 1000 posts and as long as you have been on here you cant deny it. in my opinion its the same as what i highlighted in your post above. just because 85% of this forum runs dp doesnt mean its the best and the whole world should run it........

exactly! thanks for noticing as well.......

What did happen was wrong information was posted giving the information that there was a big problem with DP, and it appears that it just isn't so. The more that things were discussed, the easier it became to see that there was much more to the story.
dont think that there are some of us who dont run dp anymore dont notice all the dp tuner and they are the best reply's and threads out there. izzy runs TW tunes - Orezona runs PHP and who else's tunes right now - Stroken, Super Doodie and myself run swamps tunes. all of us have ran dp before and have switched. you all get away with hollering dp is the best all the time because 85 plus percent of you run them, and thats fine but dont get your panties all in a wod when someone speaks out against or post why they dont like them anymore. most of us running "other" tunes dont say anything so we dont get gang tackled by the majority over the net. i do think that the conversation would be a little more civilized in person! say im wong about all the claims dp is best and all someone has to do is read this thread to see im right about all the dp followers.

i dont care who's tunes you run! as long as you are happy with them. i wasnt happy with the service i was getting and went elsewhere. ive explained my story to other members here and they were surprised but understood. just because someone else isnt happy with the same tuner you are running doesnt make it wrong!

joe i have always thought you were a knowledgeable guy but dang man! you posted your info what more do you think you are going to accomplish by constantly getting the masses all fired up? come h3ll or high water these guys wont ever go against their tuner of choice. its a dead horse man........

Thread closed because I am so sick of all the post reports. Anyone who experiences problems with a vendor product should contact the vendor in private to resolve their problems. Do not make a crusade out of in here in the forums.

Its not about getting people fired up... Its about opening eyes...

You cant learn anything without opening your eyes to the facts.
