Jody,
Will it be worth getting live tuned again with this new software?? Just curious, the truck runs FANTASTIC but if it can run better I am all for it. If it will make a difference I will get on the list at RRE if there are any openings. Thanks

Hey, did you ever fill out the survey for Bill? Maybe it was you that said you would not fill it out...

Offer is out there, doubt you will take it up but...

Yes I did fill out the survey a few months ago.

So if Jody asked to analize my Swamps tunes, is it okay to send them? I guess I'm curious why I should send my tunes to one of Jody's competitors? I'm not saying no, just doesn't seem right.

I guess it would, unless you have read about the data being sent to a 3rd party so that dog is eliminated.

I don't know, cause I'm not in "the know" but I sure bet that a company would take all precautions (both legal and ethical) when doing this.

How does Bill ****-ize it if it's sent to a third party?

I have no idea. This is the only source I have to even begin to understand it Engine Failure Survey - Powerstroke Nation

* I don't have even a puppy in this fight. And don't pretend to understand how any of the tuners do what they do. I only know what I read and sort it out from there like most. My only advantage is I'm on my 3rd aftermarket tune. Two of witch are custom professional tuners. No more, no less.

Jeez, what kinda mud slingin' we got goin' on here? I'll tell ya what being kinda impartial here. I started with a Predator- other than the code reader and live data, it sucks. I then went to DP, had to get it adjusted for hard shift (he did for free minus shipping and quick turnaround) and then when I had to pleasure of meeting Jody at John Woods place out in Holtville, man, was I impressed. Jody's a first class guy. We got my baby dialed in just right, and he took the time to make sure it was done right.

Hey Jody- when you coming back out to SoCal? I need to get my van turbo dialed in!

Third party? Do all of the independent tuners have the same access? If not what does it matter to call anyone "third party". And Bill does have a dog in the fight or is he not selling tunes in this highly competetive market?

No idea man. I've only read this link I provided above. I would be stupid to even try to explain. Just read it if you care to, see what happens and go from there. That is what I am going to do.

Sure, in fact if you like I will send my Swamps CHIPS (both for my truck and the EX) and my elite chip to PHP and Jody if you like... Again on my dime...

Why does it not seem right, dont you want to know what your tuning is doing?
