No more tuner
Here is a 80hp tune from DP tuner...

Now here is a 80hp tune for the same type of pickup from Tony Wildman...

Now I compltely understand the "you play you pay" saying... But if you dont know what your playing with, then there is no point in playing.
Are you really saying, knowing what you know now, that you dont have one question in your mind each and everytime you push that little button to the econo setting? Do you really think someone would falsely make up data like that to further some agenda?
Slow down, read what has been put infront of you and draw your conclusions from the data...
2nd, like I said before, these trucks suffer from the length of time it takes to inject the fuel - what do you want? If it takes longer to inject the fuel, logic would say start squirting it sooner. Why do you think DP tuner has more power, magic?
3rd; performance over stock at 3400rpm, do you realize what a small amount of difference in time that is at that speed?
Mine should have been extra retarded... They were "PMR Safe" and set up for 30% meth so...

Hate to know what would have happened with regular tunes...

There is nothing MORE important to the longevity of the motor then those "cute little" graphs that I posted...
Also, please present something else other then the normal "I have been running X tunes for 8 months without issue so it must be good" that everyone has?
I know exactly how long that is at 3400rpm's... and its scary how far ahead of the curve that 44* timing is, when the other guy can get it done at 38* or less...
Dynoed both... There more or less the same once you average them out... Same with Elite tunes...
-Nothing more than a basic rating. A 300hp engine might actually make 286, or maybe 298.... nothing concrete.

-Remember that the fuel STARTS being injected at that point in time. Think about that for a minute.

Have you ever dyno'ed your truck? Ever been to a dyno session? Ever been involved in a tuning session?
EVERY SINGLE Superduty 7.3 will dyno at 300-320hp with ANY tuner on MAX HP setting... Its a given... I can see a truck back up on the dyno and tell you what it will dyno with in 10 hp...
Nothing special to it, anyone that has been around it alot can do the same thing...
And yes I know how long it takes to inject the fuel... Little thing called Pulse Width... its in milliseconds...
Do you know how long it takes to empty a stock AD injector???
Mine is stock, but I have been around sessions to see what happens, and what works.

There is a huge difference between brake HP and rear wheel HP. Especially when you're comparing a tuner to another tuner when they control the transmission differently.

Uggggghhhh... Yes, I have friends that think the same, while it is sort of true, this mind frame should be save for v8 gas jobs.

The fuel does not magically spray exactly during the pulse width signal. Once the signal initiates, we wait for the mechanical lag, then the injection, then again mechanical lag to stop again. At 4000rpm this can eat a substantial portion of what you might think.

A long time at high rpm & full throttle. Past 3000rpm the injectors start having trouble sucking enough fuel back into them in time for the next injection.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
You could actually be like; a double agent; you can make the wage at ford, and have you're own powerstroke consulting firm to coach tuning companies what to do.
The problem with this thread is that the outcome has already been decided before the jury gets to look at the evidence.
