I would not trade my V10 for the same year PSD in the same shape, and I would still go with the V10 if the price was the same. That said, if I had the chance to trade it for the new 6.7 I would in a heart beat.
Wow, that is a bold statement. I would say that less than 5% of the people in this thread would have a v10 if the diesel was the same price...
Honestly, I would take my 5.4(or a 7.3 or v10) over the 6.0 or the 6.4 even if they were the same price. The 6.0 has too many issues for me to want to deal with it and the 6.4 is not going to be fun to work on when the warranty runs out. Like Bill said though, the 6.7 looks promising and may get me back on board with the psd. I just want to see if it sticks around more than 2-3 years before they change engines again.

Come on Bill, if the PSD was the same price, how can you say you would rather have the v10? You would automatically get 5 to 6 mpg better and though you don't think so, you would pull loads better... hehehe

I can destroy a V10 and pay cash for a reman.
I can't do that with a PSD. Talking about 200K+ work trucks that matters to me. With my use the PSD would not get 5-6 better.

Well, not trying to flex the portfolio....but...I can buy a new truck if mine craps out....lol
Honestly, would that matter much unless you collect broken engines and scatter them around your front yard? I'll await the answer with bated breath though....

I may be wrong, but I think what he is asking is if the price comparison includes core charges for both(fair comparison). Like saying the v10 is $2,000 and the 7.3 is $2,800, but the v10 is the buy price with no core trade in and the $2,800 for the 7.3 is including the core refund but would be $4,000 if you don't have a core. So instead of $800 more it would actually be $2,000 more.
Kind of like when psd guys compare oil change prices and they use conventional for theirs and synthetic for the gasser. Or they use the price it costs them to change their glow plugs at home compared to what a gasser paid to have their spark plugs changed at the dealer.

Well, ya' know...NO. I'm curious and will LMAO if/when someone shows an actual price....Plus, I'm off today and am bored. What are you up to?
The site that I am looking at has a long block 7.3 for $3,700 up to complete engines with a turbo for $9,500 and that is if you send them in your old engine as a core.
