Man...I wish I was a mod...then I could ask why our mod walked away from answering his 282,000 square mile search which yielded 10 V10's for sale "around here"....he never answered that one....He searched Denver...300 miles each direction....
I'd only ask it since I was accused of walking away from a question. That I answered.
You don't think that my truck can run mid 13's with the stuff in my sig. Do you even know what a diesel is? Here is a guy that has the same stuff done to his truck like I got done to mine except he is running a 310 tune which I also can run if I want to and he went 12.80's. So I think with a 250 tune mid 13's shouldn't be a problem.
Fine, do it and quit talking about it. I often wonder when all you loudmouths have time to tow anything with all the time you spend each and every day on the internet talking about what you do. I'll be on the lookout for a copy of your 13 second timeslip...Like the old saying goes, "When the green flag drops, the bullsh1t stops" So lets see it or shut up about it already.

What does being a moderator have to do with asking a question?
I walked away from it because it was a useless argument. You're just going to keep arguing over and over and over again. Actually, I didn't even walk away from it, you just proved my point. But you'll keep arguing it like there's something to win. There ain't. My search proved that the market share that Ford predicted on NEW VEHICLES pretty much held solid all the way through used vehicles. If the V10's were so bad or the PSD was so great that it would effect used vehicle sales, I didn't see it. Because it's not there.
Now, you can narrow the search so that the statistical universe is so small that it doesn't mean anything. Proving that for whatever reason, right around you, everyone wants to SELL their PSD and the rest want to KEEP their V10. Which is it?

What are you talking about quit talking about it. I talked about running 13 seconds one time. And all I see are loudmouth gassers on here saying they can hang with us people with real trucks yet I haven't seen anyone trying to challenge me in anything. So like the old saying goes "Bring it b1tch"

I had a gasser F150 that would eat you up on launch, and keep on pulling. But that's something that my 7 ton V10 F550 can't do. but, chain your truck to mine and I will make a full pull while you try to pull me.

What did you have a lightning? And if it was a stock lightning or even one with exhaust, pulley, and a tune you might run mid to low's 13's. Bone stock those things ran low 14's. So hook up to your truck that weighs how much and hook mine up that weighs maybe 8k pounds. Hmmm I wonder if I will be at a disadvantage. But hey you never know I might pull you like I would a volkswagon.

Oh i hate it when people with the bigger pickup are like "lets have a pull off". The truth of the matter is all you need to win a pulling contest is wieght and height(power has very little to do whith it.) Like lets say you V10 puts out 300 horse power, i have a 2006 newholland ts125a deisel tractor with 105hp that could pull you around all day. Just lettin you know.
Deisel over gas, theres a reason why we put them in our tractors.

I just call them like I see them. I don't blindly follow either gassers or diesels and claim that one side can do everything better. I have no shame in admitting another truck can do something better than mine. My psd tows easier, gets better mpg's and requires less downshifting. My 5.4 downshifts more on hills, gets worse mpg's(but still better than most 6.0's and 6.4's), but it will run off and leave my psd if I compare them head to head. Whether it be from a dead stop or hitting a hill at the speed limit, my 5.4 will out accelerate my psd and top the hill at a faster speed.
Edit- If you asked me to do the math comparing your truck to mine, I would gladly admit that there is no need to do the math. Yours has almost 100 more hp than mine and 50 more hp than the most recent 5.4. At the time mine was being made though, it had more hp than the 7.3.
Man, you got some issues. LOL I just drove 8 hours last night through Montana and got 17.3 hand calculated mpg with 2,500 pounds behind me and 800 in the bed at 70 to 85 mph. You can't get close to that in your 5.4. Remember the 7.3 you are using is old school, big improvements were made in 1999 and 2002.

Yes it was a lightning. With a tune and a filter only it ran 13.07. Added a muffler, pulley, oval TB, and some little things and it ran 12.70's. In good air a bone stock Lightning ran 13.37 (not mine).
About the tug of war, that was my point exactly. Each truck has their own advantages. My rear axle weighs about as much as your whole truck! But it is a V10, and I have no problem pulling anything I hook to it. I use it for towing not racing.

Height has nothing to do with it. Weight and traction.

Actually, you said you did the search to prove we had a bunch of V10's up here when some other guy who fibbed said he counted 17 V10's up in Summit County. (elev 10000+ feet) I said we didn't, so you did a search from Denver...300 miles in each direction (which put you in New Mexico, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, and darn near Oklahoma and Arizona) You found a total of 10 of them for sale...Only TWO of those were in Denver. Those were also probably from out of State and the owners realized they lost a lot of power at (roughly) 6000 feet. You also found 40 I believe, PSD's for sale. They are for sale EVERYWHERE around here, but not for the reasons you think. They are all HIGH MILEAGE vehicles and used in the oil fields and trans-state areas. If you've ever been up here you'd know there's nothing but big, open spaces between towns, so we drive a lot. People who know, drive diesel...
I just threw out the part about walking away from a question since you did the same childish thing with me. Next time I'm accused of walking away, I'll just copy/paste that reply.
