$35k is a hell of deal. I have the X-plan and got a stripped out XL. Of course I only got $1500 in rebates because I took the 0% interest. Had I been able to pay for it up front, it would have been another $3k off for a total of $28k out the door. But I knew I couldn't pay it off quick enough and the iterest free deal was better for me.
And yeah, don't trust kbb too much, my private party value is $36k I will agree that the superduties don't deperaciate as fast as some cars (my wife's Saab is like a rock), but at the end of day it is still depreciating just like ever other car out there (except a few classics).
Hey, maybe our V10 will become a classic and apperciate since you can't get it anymore
wow you got a stripped XL and think you got a better deal then me. I got a f-350 XLT 6.4L 4X4 CC longbed sticker at 51k and I got mine for 38,900 only 8k more then yours. I think I got the better deal between the two. So really the only difference in the price is the diesel engine.
Yep, I've been caught red handed trolling away. Maybe next I can work my way up to fraud.
Ok troll I did I commit fraud. Ford must have approve the warranty work not me. I wasn't the one that put forth the money for someone else. Ford did. So how did I commit fraud. If ford said they couldn't do it under warranty then I would have paid for it. But if they tell me that it can be done under warranty then of course I would take it. Only idiots are most v-10 guys on here wouldn't, just because........they're idiots.

Now I may not be a moderator here but I can say that many of us enjoy the conversation here in this thread because for the last year it's been very civil and respectful.
Name calling isn't welcome here. If you must post like that than I respectfully ask for you to go and get yourself banned somewhere else.

Actually it comes down to honesty and integrity. I have no issues with bringing a vehicle under warranty in for repair and Ford repairing or replacing it. However if I have modded it to the point you state you have then it would certainly fall to me pay for it. The phrase "you gotta pay to play" comes to mind. In the end when a company ends up replacing things it really wasn't responsible for everyone else ends up paying for it in the end.
I would still feel this way whether I owned a gasser or a diesel, I like both they provide choices for us that prefer the SD over any other truck.

Um I guess you missed it when that rugby guy called me a troll. So I would've never brought that up until he said it to me. And there are also people calling me a fraud. I guess you miss that too. So why don't you get on their asses too. And I was talking about psd vs v-10 when I first posted in here and then someone posting that I'm a fraud and crap. So really I never started all this name calling BS.
Why do you want me to do that? What the hell are you going to do with it? There are really some douchebags on this site. And mostly they are v-10 guys. I guess they have little man syndrome.

This is off topic, but for me it depends on how the problem was presented to the dealership. If you were upfront with them about the mods, then if they do the work under warranty it is on them. But if you didn't tell them, then you ripped them off big time.

We want to run an Oasis and see what the dealer has down for warrenty work. Please post the VIN soon because the ban hammer is getting close.
I'll take the high road on this a I diverted from it when I called him a troll. I'll take my troll comment back then and apologize for name calling.
The behavior of having warranty work cover your damage is still fraudulent by both you and your dealer, thereby making it harder for those of us who don't deal that way. That was the point that others have tried making to you.
That being said I don't recommend you being banned for your comments. I have been called worse at work and this of course is the net.

Stripped is relative I guess.... there are only a few minor difference between mine and an XLT. I have power windows, locks, mirrors, heated mirrors, cruise control, 6 disk CD player, keyless entery, brake controller, and a few other things I can't remember. Above that, I had $1800 in additional equipment on truck, goose neck hitch, running boards, spray in bed liner, rubber bed mat etc. All of that was included in the out the door price. The only thing an XLT has over mine is carpeted floors, which I prefer the plastic vinyl floors anyway.
I guess I think of it as stripped because I test drove a King Rancher (mine was 2 states away) as it was the only V10 CC short bed 4x4 they had on the lot, so we figured it would drive simliar to what I was getting.
I actually wanted an F350 CC 4x4 long bed, but they couldn't find one with the V10 in last years models (that being an '09, I bought an '09 when the '10 came out) and the F250 short bed could tow what I needed it to, so I took it. As you can see in my sig it is a CC 4x4 simliar to yours, just short bed and V10.
Edit: Just to clarify: I paid $31k for my truck with 0%, If I had taken the rebates it would have been $28k with the extra equipment. Without the extra equipment and with the rebates, I could have had the truck down to just over $26k out the door. I don't think a CC 4x4 diesel is going going to get near that.
... I like both they provide choices for us that prefer the SD over any other truck.
they USED to provide choices. Infact teh V10 is one of the main reasons I bought a SD. If I were forced to by a diesel, Chevy was the less expensive choice and I would have gone with them... But that is another topic altogether.

I don't hide anything from them. They know what is done to any of my vehicles. And I even told the shop foreman what I'm going to do to my truck in the future and he said thats cool and will cover anything if it breaks. So this is why I don't understand how am I comitting fraud?
