A v10 can haul more than a PSD.
I just saw your sig, and have to ask.Why would My v10 not be able to tow your PSD?

The payload of a V10 is higher than the pay load of the same truck with a PSD by over 500 pounds.

who cares what the what a piece of paper says? they say a s10 is only a quarter ton truck but i got 2800 lbs of scrap copper in the bed once, sure the reese hitch put a groove in the pavment the entire way to the scrap yard but it still hauled it.

I have gotten flagged into a weigh station and been 80 pounds under my GVWR.
I would have been over with the PSD.
That peice of paper means allot when you are blessed with the company of a state trooper that wants nothing more than to nail you for being over weight.

Why? I have no clue.
In order for them to be used nationwide, it has to be a big enough problem for them to think they are necessary....... I just think it's sad that stalls come with more anti-theft features than our tailgates lol.

I sold an 89 Dodge to my brother about 4 years ago. 3/4 ton truck, 8100 gvwr, with air bags on the rear axle. He called me one day and said he just hauled 6300lbs of scrap steel to the scrap yard. He said he had 80lbs of air in the air bags to get the truck to sit half way level. He also said it did not want to stop at stop signs. I wonder why,,,,

The truck was junk to be honest. His son had run the crap out of it. If it had broke in half, it would have been no great loss. It has since been melted down.

yep i tore down an old factory that made powered metals parts. they thought the got it all but the were 6 inch cast pipes that ran under the floor from the electical room to all over the floor for the machinery. in it was 5 1.5 inch thick wires that ran close to 200 ft each. back then copper was $2.88 per lb. i made out pretty good that day. it came out to just over $8000 if i remeber right
