Oh and great Idea, you should charge like 4 batteries so you can produce 4 times as much 'HHO' to throw into your engine.
That way your engine won't be using some energy to produce HHO, it will just all be coming from those batteries you charged from wind. I think your method has a much greater potential of working than using your alternator to make HHO. You should definitely try it out because it's different to what everyone else is doing.
If only the rest of us had windmills and alternators laying around. I'm jealous.
But if you have a bunch of batteries laying around you could always just charge them from your outlet, electricity is much cheaper than gas or diesel.
houston we have a problem!!! after being on the road for afew hrs.city& hyway traffic,70mi round trip, checked gen it was realhot(kinda deformed, its not round any more) added 4 more plates coated sides with bed liner , now my plates are +nnnnnn-nnnnnn+nnnnnn-nnnnnn+,hope this will fix the heat problem, using 1/2tbls lye-1 gal
that doesn't sound good at all. You should get a $10 thermometer from radio shack with the extension in the water so you can make sure you don't melt your container.
You could always just put in less lye, you will get less HHO tho.
dlmcbm,im useing a sperry dsa-500 digisnap meter, alt.is 130 amp, checked amps after 3 hrs. .05 have inline 40 amp fuse,30 amp relay wires & relay do not get hot. alt. to battery amps are 1-3 amps w/ac on
you might want to recheck some things. if you are only pulling 1-3 amps from your alt. with the car running and A/C on you must have a great battery or a dead alt. i would say the average car without a/c on would be 15-30 amps.
your hho gen. is only pulling .05 amps after 3 hrs.????-----dose it make any HHO? thats not many amps? maybe i just misunderstood your post.
dlmcbm,rechecked alt. w/headlights,a/c,radio on i'm still only pulling 5.35-6.57 amps,lights off 4.23-5.75 amps,my batteries are 875 coid cranking amps,1000 cranking @32deg. reserve 165 amps,hho gen .05 amp after 3 hr.yes it makes hho,1 qtpm w/1/2 tbls per gal.my first road test 48.2 mi. 2.186 gal. almost dbl my mpg
I looked at the Sperry website, and the dsa-500 looks like an AC only (inductive clamp) current meter. If so, then what you are measuring is essentially noise. To get an accurate measurement, you'll need to use a DC ammeter hooked between the alternator terminal and the hot wire.
thanks tbone, i was wondering if i was doing-reading it right,it has been driving me crazy every one says they are pulling 30=40 amps & i'm only pulling .05 ,i'm heading out to get one right now
