Found another F250 Crew Cab - what would you pay?

Went out and about today and to my suprise, I happened across a '79 Crew Cab 2wd. It had a pretty nice Cab - almost no rust. No rust or dents on the roof, driprails, no rust on the rear doors, none on the floor. I couldn't believe it. It even had the cover on the ceiling. It had the completer original ceiling panels including the center piece trim and all the chrome trim that holds the panels up. Also had perfect rear door pulls.

I asked the guy about buying it. The guy said he'd take $800 for the whole truck. And $350 for the Cab only.

What have you / would you guys pay for a good cab. The hood, bed, etc, were pretty dented up and not worth messing with. The frame was pretty rusty. and the engine didn't look like much.

What would you guys pay for a good cab? Do you think I could sell the rear end and other parts?

Seems like an OK deal to me either way. $800 for a crew with a non rusty cab is a steal around here and I'm in the land of no rust

That being said - if you don't think you'll have a problem locating the other parts (hood, bed, etc. are easy - frame may not be) I'd go for just the cab.

Where's it at ? If local and you don't want it I do . BTW, either price sounds good for a crewcab.

800 is a great price for a rust free cab.

Not with the wife not havin a job and my only transportation is the 78 right now. Im spiinin my wheels. Cummins might be for sale. Might have to sell it and swap in a 460. Use the money out of the cummins to get it road worthy.

How's that for introductions?
Yah, I'm new. Let's not get all about it though. Been reading this thread since this morning and looks like you got a good 1 going. Hope I don't lower the property values with my tanker.

Here's a 3rd grade "what it will look like when" I'm done sorta-kinda pic

Going back red with black line-x floors and bed under/inner, 91.5 CTD Getrag5sp dually 14 bolt corp Gm (4.10 open) ford dually front hubs and chopped bed with 1st gen Dodge skirts.
