This is my interior door panel. You can see the metal plates that are added to hold the clips. This modification did not affect on how the panel looks in the front.
Reason why I haven't put the door panel back on is because I want to put some kind of dynamat, or heat shield. You guys tried any of this? If so, any put it under carpet?
Thanks pitcrw6. I see that you are the old school ford crew cab guru... A lot of knowledge.
Thanks but I'm just a shadetree weekend hobbiest that love these trucks. These trucks are no different from the front seat of the cab and forward with the reg cab F150-F350. Adding a back seat and 2 extra doors just changes the length and mounting points of everything back. Real easy to work on but if you go out of the ordinary then things will need some thinking and maybe fabrication. I wish I had half the skills has some on here. Venture on over to the 73-79 F-series truck forum and you will see some great builds going on.
Ok, yea ill check out some more threads through the forum. One question I still haven't gotten a good answer is. I would like to level out my crew cab. I'm not a fan on the forward tilt of the truck But since it 2wd, no one so far makes a leveling kit. What would be my best option, (if any )to make my 2wd leveled? A co-worker of mine says to add a plate on top of the coils but that to me sounds like a poor idea. Maybe longer coil springs? I'm open for ideas.
To be honest with, I dont think I ever saw a 2wd with a Fwd rake. Everyone i've seen have been level but maybe thats why my F250 has 1" rubber spacer under the front springs. Not sure it was added for the bigger tires or to make it level. It does have a hell of a camber to it with the rubber spacers.
I have a 4x4 but I put a 3in spacer between my Springs and my frame, I know this is not the preferred method but I sagged a ton in the front abs it also made it so I could clear 37s
Ok, we'll then my co-worker does know what he is talking about. I feel much better knowing you have something like that done to your crew...is there anyway I could see some pics of how it's done to your CC? And your a Floridian also. Take any drives down to Tampa Florida? Be nice to see your trucks and appreciated them!(pitcrw6)
I got a account with photobucket it's free. It's pretty much upload the pic, photobucket then makes it to a link. Copy it and paste the link onto the a reply thread....
