By the diagram I can tell where the CMP sensor is, EBP sensor, and the ECT sensor is, but I still do not understand exactly where the "blue" CPS goes??

In the diagram, 2. Camshaft Position Sensor - CMP, that is your CPS--Camshaft Position Sensor. CMP sensor==CPS, same thing. The blue one replaces the black one that's in your truck now.
You're welcome. I remember being there too. There's a lot to learn about our trucks and it just takes time and sometimes a little guidance. There's still more about our trucks that I'm learning every day.

Wecome to the wonderful world of diesels!! , and to FTE. Use the search function at the top of the thread to look for some more info about the HPX. Also, check out my sig to find some more mods to search for. I think some of the first ones listed there are good places to start. Don't be afraid to start a new post if you have questions -- we're a pretty friendly bunch here.

"I believe the part # posted in this thread is correct and not the p/n for the wrong one."
Just saying, don't walk into an international dealer and say give me a blue cam sensor as there are several different ones.
You would have to check the clearence with a depth mic. Navistar has a very nice tool that takes all the guess work out of the job. With a depth mic., remove the sensor, install the mic into the sensor hole, and run it in until it bottoms out on a vane of the pick up wheel and read what the mic is. Then measure the flange of the sensor to the base. Subtract the two readings and you should be in the .025 - .030 range. I have found on many 444 that the air gap is to large and the front cover needs to be sanded/ground down a bit to put the clearence back into spec. I've seen the sensors working but cutting out intermittantly with air gaps of .050", ground the cover and reinstalled the sensor and never had a problem since.

I think you anwsered the big question why the Blue #1807339C92 sensor works better in our engines. Being the stronger magnatic field of the #1807339C92 makes up for the wider air gap that some of our 7.3's have. Maybe that's why it works better in some engines and not in others.

Installed BLUE cps today. I really didnt notice a difference at idle. I did the HPX a couple days ago. What I did notice, you can feel it when your accelerating. IT seems to have given the truck more get up and. I would recommend the BLUE cps + hpx line. Do them together and you wont be sorry.
I am going to post some #'s.Get your brains working on this fine cold sunday morning.
I just got home so Dyno sheets have not been scanned.I will have pics of them soon
here it is blue cps 389hp and 738tq
Ford cps 397hp and 712tq.
I got 17.5 going down with blue cps that was with 95 miles of it in town here before I left.16.5 comeing home with ford cps with 55 miles of dyno runs and playing around town.I filled up just before the dyno. And filled up when I got home.I am going to leave the Ford cps in for a month and see if there is a difference.
A side note that has no relation to the CPS but run in 40hp and 120 yielded the excact same results.Another thing My AE showed 183degrees of oil temp on the 1st run and 185degrees on the 2nd.One more thing down there I was pushing 40lbs on the streets at WOT and on the dyno Boost peaked at 30lbs.Smoke did clean up on the top end.

Some guys have reported that it takes a few hundred miles before they really notice a difference. You might pay attention to how it acts now and how it acts once you're through this tank too.
True. I always keep track of MPG, tax write off. I have discovered another diesel leak on my truck though. Its the line on the right hand side. Ill need to get that fixed to really get an accurate reading.
