The blue cmp sensors fail at a rate WAY greater than the black sensors that normally go in your engine. I believe I mentioned this earlier in this thread. We probably sell and install 1-2 blue sensors a Day and a black sensor every six weeks. Navistar is constantly changing the blue sensor to try and get better reilability out of it.
With having to replace both my Truck & 5th Whl in the last year I'm up to my eye in HAWK. so I gotta wait till my Uncle (Uncle Sam) sends me my Taxes to do the replacement.
The main points of the posts on this thread are better MPG, Cold Start & Sound. This thread being only 30 days old - Will 'Blue' also help in luke warm & hotter temps? Or by the time I get my taxes back would the change be mostly a mute point?
My other question would be (I haven't went back and re-read all the posts) - I don't recall mentioning loaded proformance. Would the change help in the Summer pulling the 5er? Is 'Blue' to new summer time back & history?
I would say the Blue CPS will still hold true the MPG and smoother running in warmer weather. Don't know about loaded performance. I don't think many of us, myself included, have been running the Blue CPS long enough to go back to summer performance.
My HPX line is in and I am going to install it today. The blue cps should be in either tomorrow or saturday. I want to get that line in today so I can atleast run my truck for a couple days to notice the difference just with it, and then get the blue cps in and see what they both do for my baby.
HPX line in. For those of you debating over this, DONT. I noticed a difference right away. Truck fires up right away and runs smooth. It accelerates smoother too. Wish I would have known about it when I first got the truck. Its also a little quiter. Not a lot, but defenitely noticable.
Word of advice. Be real careful pulling out the plugs. The guy helping me dropped one and for the life of us, we could not find it. It is sitting somewhere on the motor. Even took a blowgun to it to try and blow it out--> nothing. So I am not gonna have the plugs with me for that "just in case" situation. DOH!

Now you'll have to carry a spare HX line.
What a difference they make!

Get a #5 O-ring boss plug or you can use a JIC cap on the fitting they sent you.
Should be #5 also but could be #6. Don't know for sure cause I made my own.
Any hydraulic outfit will have them.
Holey Buckets!!! I think I heard it was at 1800 psi. I would imagine it is a much as the injection pressure. What does the HPOP produce. What kind of range?
