You have to come join us in the 99-03 7.3 super duty section, that's where all the action is.

truck stuff or country club stuff? IMO it's more genuine down here in the OBS forum. No ego stroking like a few members seem to take turns doing over there

Country club?
What ever the case OBS section will always be my side as long as the pooper duty doesn't grow on me

And when you installing those upgrades Jake? We need more action on this side. I need guinea pig's to test some turbos and injectors out before I commit to upgrading to more powa

Things have been slow, planning on ordering the valve spring tool this week so I can wrap up that piece of the puzzle.

After that I will resume parts collection for some turbo stuff. I have an interesting game plan that may open more doors for others using the same pipes that hook into the E99 spider but we'll see how it actually plays out.

So until then I will be whispering into Brett's ear to put heavy equipment stuff from his work onto his truck like CAT 6.6L stuff or getting his students to pressure wash his truck

Those are all critical learning tasks. Just think how well they could demonstrate their problem solving skills and technical proficiency. . That old CAT motor would be sweet but it's a heavy SOB. They did get a 15 liter CAT wired up and going after sitting in pieces for about 4 years.

I really think after my intake upgrade I'm only doing rear springs maybe until I get this move knocked out if it's happening

Get your slaves, I mean, students to do some 910s for you too.

Heck, I can mail that shift stub for a short throw too. Say when! Speed mods beat appearance mods!

When! Lol. Im ready to do that short shifter whenever I can get a stub to send in for recrafting.

I generally prefer performance mods over appearance. Every now and then I like to do a quality of life/comfort improvement, too.

I just bought another locker for the Tacoma (really to put in my old diff and give to a buddy who I might have stolen a locked diff from after he installed some inspection ports on his engine block), so ball joints are probably going to get ordered after the next paycheck. But no, I have not decided which to go with haha

I will say I'm happy with it. Spools much easier and I get more of that sweet whistle.
If that does half of what the KC balanced assembly did for me, you'll love it. Even with my plenum still leaking, I build 2psi at 1600rpm and clean up the 160/0s WAY faster than before, which I wasn't seeing any boost until like 1900-2000rpm

I've been diving into some threads over on the SD forum in the last couple of weeks. Lots of good information, but definitely seems to be more measuring contests on that side of the world.

Are you getting the tool that's made specifically for the 7.3? If so, I know a guy that will want to borrow it at some point...

Yeah I figure I'll buy it and steal your thunder, and lend it out to the worthy ones so we can start the spring gang with Spring Man X at the helm leading us to glory.

Well between the astronomical prices of every material ever, and some personal crap that came up, the funds for a full motor build this winter are definitely not going to be here. I have a neighbor who will get me a block and heads for cheap, so I can at least have something to start tinkering with. But this makes me think I'm going to get Kahned into some stuff with the current motor... like valve springs, push rods, SD UVCH conversion

Just finished up another project I was Khaned into. I'll do a thread on it. Thats a bummer about being short funds, I know how that is. America called and told me they needed a hero, told them I'll have to do. So I'm moving pretty rapidly to find a new place to live.

moving always sucks, especially on short notice. Where is the hero America needs headed next?
