Pretty soon you'll be the only one with a auto. Eric showed me a driving helmet he wears so he doesn't have to worry about going thirsty while driving. Gotta get with the cool kid crowd.

Your forgetting about me cabron, I'm I'm auto guy all the way. I know you guys love grabbing the stick but geez even in a truck? That's too much lol
Just kidding. I only like Manuel transmissions in sports cars as you can usually shift thru gears like butter, after you drive a Manuel truck in a small cities alleys you get bored really quick like I did.
I'll post some pics of what I'm getting after I pick it up tomorrow. But here's a teaser, my trailer I use to haul the Tacoma seemed a bit small for what I'm getting, so I grabbed this from the yard at work since it's 4' longer and a little wider. Will definitely stick off the sides a little...

Agreed that driving a truck trans in the city becomes unpleasant...worse yet is creeping rush hour traffic. That is when bull low comes in very handy. Let clutch out and creep. 2000rpm around 8mph is ideal.
Neither of you are wrong! Picked up a rolling chassis from a 1999 f-450 crew cab with a 9ft flatbed. Came with a 50 gallon rear tank, zf6, manual transfer case, and driveshafts!
Nice! What are the plans? Axle swaps and trans swap?
Trans will go in the truck, and I’m debating throwing the f450 springs in too. And if the 50 gal rear tank will fit, I’ll put that in as well.
Axles will get converted to SRW and swapped into my neighbors Tacoma.
Flat bed is for sale and frame will get scrapped. After the flatbed sale and scrap, I should end up not having spent a penny to get this.
Hell, if everything. Works out, I’ll have a zf6, 1 1/2 ton springs, and 88 gallons of fuel capacity all for the cost of driving to Laramie! Well that’s not really true, still need a new clutch and to rebuild the trans
Sweet! I think you need a special crossemeber to mount the ZF6. Those springs will ride rough unless you uave alot of weight on them. I have F superduty springs on the back in mine and it's bone jarring at times.

from what I’ve seen I should be able to modify the superduty crossmember to work. Weight wise I always have a few hundred pounds of tools, and once I swap the tanks that’ll be an extra 400lbs of fuel compared to full stock tanks. So when the ride gets rough, it’s time to fuel up lol
Man my 350 was the most killer ride ever. Makes you pucker every time you go over the railroad tracks. Can’t imagine doing 450 springs unless you pull a lot

I guess I’m just used to driving rough trucks. When I was a mason I was driving a medium duty dump truck every day, so the ride of the 350 feels nice and smooth to me haha
