The earth strap that used to go to the rear of the head has been relocated to one of the bolts that used to hold the bracket.
I do not remember needing to move the earth strap. Is this something I should add to the instructions? Or do you think there is something unusual in your situation? Possibly from a previous trans swap or something? Or maybe my previous trans rebuild could have moved mine?

Hmm, maybe mention it as one of the things that possibly need moving depending on circumstances? Where it goes to the back of the passenger side head appears to be the factory location according to the manual.

Weird. Maybe I moved it during my trans rebuild? Or different year truck? Or could it be related to the Turbonator? Did you take any photos of the issue? I’m picturing the head of the bolt hitting the downpipe. Is this correct? It’s been a while so I can’t picture it in my head.
Regardless I added a note in my phone (which I hope to not forget) for when I get on the pc and do some updates to the document. I appreciate the feedback.
I gotta say. The more I’m learning about turbos, the more excited I’m getting about your project. This thing should be totally amazing! Low end spool and top end performance.

Yup, head of the bolt hitting the downpipe. No photos sorry. The ground strap bolt was in the way of maneuvering the downpipe in. I think I could get the bolt and strap back into the original position once the downpipe is in position but that will take more dexterity and patience than I've got.

Well, that's the theory/hope/prayer. We'll see if it pans out.
If ya got the means to cut it without warping it. Always have been on the fence about single use (single layer) flange gaskets. Once they compress they dont like to reseal like the multi-layer gaskets do.

No progress today. Taking a step backwards in fact. Ran into an issue with the Turbonator's controller not communicating with the laptop. I'm going to have to rip it all out and bench test again.
I was texting with Leonard most of the day trying to figure out a solution while waiting for tech support to get back in touch with him. We couldn't come up with anything and a bit ago they told him to remove it and bench test it. I recommended he walk away from it for the day, but he had already done that.
Frustrating and deflating, but he will get it going soon.
1 step forward, 2 steps back. It's frustrating for sure, but you'll get it sorted out. This install has everyone on the edge of their seats for sure! Like @Sous said, we're all looking forward to that mission complete statement and your impressions of the VGT/SXE. FWIW the install looks good so far
