I think I need more before photos in order to understand and better appreciate the after photos. Was your cowl wiring harness cover an aftermarket carbon fiber piece to begin with? Or is this a sheet of carbon fiber overlayed on top of the entire original plastic cowl harness cover?

Was the break lateral or axial to the length of the cover? Do you have any photos in the broken state, prior to the layered over covering (if not originally carbon fiber)?

It is the factory plastic cowl wire shield. I forgot to take "before" pictures of it in its broken state, sorry. The break was lateral right above the valley of the engine. It broke because the turbo caught an edge as it was being removed.

Beginning to hate this site right now. Every post I open seems to go back to the 27th and have to fast forward to read. What a pain. Hope they get a handle on it!

Great! Did they say what was wrong? Or did you already tell us and my memory slipped?

One wire was miswired which, if memory serves, was because it was mislabeled.

The turbocharger is installed. I will have to rethink the drive pressure sensor location. The massaged cowl provides just the smallest amount of clearance.

Drive pressure sensor relocated.

I don't like how close my PLASTIC heater core bypass valve is to the downpipe. I will have to fab a heatshield for it.

Where do the two valved heater hose tributaries ramble off to toward the driver's side? What purpose do they serve? What device are they circulating through?

That is for the in-tank fuel heater to prevent fuel gelling while driving on frozen lakes.

If it helps you replumb your Ranger valve away from your turbo, you might consider tapping into the driver's side of the engine block for a heated coolant supply, similar to how the Excursion is plumbed for the rear climate control. There is a point after Cylinder 8, and another point between Cylinders 4 and 6. Using these points will eliminate all the heater hoses traversing across the valley under the new turbo, which will provide more flexibility in the rearrangement of your 4 way Ranger heater valve, as you are no longer tied to 6 ways of having to plumb that intersection.

Since the block taps I propose on the Driver's side head are on the same side as your fuel tank, the hoses to deliver hot coolant to your fuel tank remain on the driver's side frame rail, and only have to reach up to the rear and middle points of just the lower part of the driver's side head.

Serving suggestion.
