I had zero issues when I removed this engine, I don’t see parts cracking while sitting on the shelf in a ziploc bag. As I removed parts they immediately went into a labeled ziploc. I know I missed filling the oil sump but I don’t think you guys realize how OCD I am and especially assembling an engine I just dropped almost $9k in with all the new parts. I bet when I fill the standpipe hole with two gallons of oil it will get the pump primed. I may actually go a step further and pump oil in the hole using a piece of hose and my handy pump sprayer versus just pouring it in.

You have already done the air pressure test at the IPR port?

No but if it does not show signs of building ICP better than before (280-300psi) after I pour oil in the standpipe hole I am going to run a shop air test. I already have the test hose made up from when I air tested after rebuilding the injectors over two years ago. I can pinpoint a leak and take action on that area instead of blindly tearing into it. I will be starting on it in a few hours.
Oh yeah, I got IDS to work, now I just have to set up my parameters to run the live data test. That will be much better for this than TorquePro...

You did such a professional job, I have no idea yet where you made a mistake. I ask myself all the time if the pressure pump's oil refill had anything to do with it.

Thanks Hartwig, I’m going to figure it out with all of you and the other guy’s help. Three years ago I had never even popped the hood of a diesel truck!

Following along. I wish I could contribute but the 7.3 is my forte. I do think it is entirely possible to have a bad HPOP. I have been there done that on my trucks as well as friends trucks. It has happened to a few guys on the 7.3 side with an Adrenaline as well as the T-500 being bad out if the box. Don't rule it out just yet.

Poured a gallon into the standpipe hole and ICP still only building up to around 300psi with and without ICP plugged in. Air test tomorrow morning to see what the hell is leaking or if my Adrenaline HPOP crapped out...I’m done for today. Had enough!

Have you confirmed that your IPR is getting the "command" to close?

I just started using IDS, is there a function to test the true IPR voltage when it reads 85%? 12v should close the valve correct? I am looking up how to test for voltage now.

Yes there is a voltage reading in the IDS data-logging screen.

Also that link I said I was going to text to you.

Thanks Sean I will check it out. I got IDS fired up and all parameters set up. Still learning how to operate it and need to figure out how to save my vehicle profile and data logging screens.

When you try to close out it will ask you what you want to do and you will have three options.
Save is the one that you want if you want to keep the data.

Did your VIN show up in the info when you started with the truck plugged in?
