Still have a leak, it sounds like the bottom of the standpipe. I swapped it for my old standpipe that is in perfect shape and same result. For grins I put a new bottom o-ring on same result. I’m using a piece of 3/8” hose as a stethoscope. It’s coming from that standpipe area. This is ridiculous. I’m going to get my borescope out and peek at the branch tube threads/seat.
I’m stoked! Got the initial break in done, about to go for a spin now that headlights and grill are on. I will wrestle the full replacement bumper tonight.
Driving around, purring like a kitten. Blew a boot off...knew that was going to happen, had tools. Loading Gearhead custom tow tune now, it’s what I always run.
I've been lurking along your rebuild journey. Dont know you but feel like i do now.
If Louisiana was next door i would stop by with a case of beer to celebrate....
Oh wait it is!
About to go to bed, thanks for the help and replies guys! I guess this can be an ongoing thread, I have a lot more to do to this truck. Tomorrow I have to get creative with a 3/4” crow’s foot to tighten the power steering pump fitting that is barely leaking. A few things to tidy up and then I start prepping my front bumper for paint and looking at how I will modify and fabricate the rear bumper.
