Unless you want to do a Jack and but on an oil pressure gauge, record pressure, re-install the old spring and damaged o-ring and see what the pressure is and if it leaks. Then leave the spring in and put on the new o-ring.

Just ask Chris how this goes.
Oh don’t worry, a low oil pressure gauge is coming...I just wanted to see if that stopped the leak, I was ready to drive her! I’m getting tired of trying to break her in in just 30-40 mile runs. I may go on a road trip Monday and visit a buddy and go fish for some big bass in northeast Texas. I’ll take the tools...
I hope everyone is enjoying their time at home and loved ones are healthy. I go back to work Tuesday.
FYI this isn’t a troubleshooting request. I have the 6.7L pump and regulated return I built so I’ll handle it. I didn’t like the sending unit and wanted the sump to go in ASAP. I was planning on running the full tank to 1/4 or so, dropping it and installing the sump BUT only got 255 miles out of it.
Just needed to make a grocery run. Noticed fuel pressure hanging around 66psi (normally 68-69) on the highway...lost fuel pressure as I pulled in the parking lot 30 miles from home. Shut off before it got too low to save injectors. Had my GF’s mother pick me up and got my tools loaded up in my Dodge and went at the fuel filters. Swapped filters, hot wired pump and no pressure rise at all. Pump is running but not priming. I think my pickup fitting on the sending unit I made loosened. No fuel leaks though. Had it towed home and will siphon tank out next days off and drop it to delete the sending unit and install my Beans Micro Sump.
I dropped the tank to delete the feed line and installed a Beans Micro Sump after work yesterday. I added 1/2” feed and return to the stock sending unit last year and even with the draw straw 1/2” from the bottom I still had issues losing prime before my low fuel light illuminated. Last days off I had to have it towed home because fuel pressure dropped like a rock and after doing some troubleshooting in the parking lot I determined I had a loose fitting on the feed somewhere. I was right, when I removed the sending unit my draw straw had loosened and fallen into the tank. I was going to retrofit a 6.7 sending unit since I have the 6.7 fuel pump regulated return system but decided to just go with the sump and not have to mess with tinkering with the fuel level sensor. I ordered a 6.7 sending unit and it came in yesterday and I checked it for fitment and it would have fit but the level sensor reads a different ohm range than the 6.0 and backwards so some modification would have been needed. I will get photos on days off, it was dark last night!
I doubt I’ll ever do 90% of what you’ve had to go through, but I wanted to say that this thread is one of the awesomest threads I’ve read!
You, and many who have contributed to this thread and posted their own informative threads, have given me the feeling that no matter what happens with my 6.0 it can be fixed!
That’s good to know it fits the bung. The electrical thing possibly may be worked out, you can alter the ohms parallel or series if the range would still fit, the high to low.... maybe.
I've been trying to get a new foot, but I’ve been getting no longer available. Bismic talked to ANWB who says out of stock. So we’ll have to see in a while if discontinued or waiting for stock.
There is a wing on the top that would need trimming but that’s it. I’m going to hang on to it for my next project or might sell it or send it back. I got quick connects and the plug/pigtail too.

Heck with the foot. Look into Holley's HydraMat. Watch some video testing. Then try to get past the initial cost.
Can’t get past the cost for a farm truck. Some Shelby guys have used it that like to run on the track. But, ya know, you got a 6 to 7 figure car ......
Actually, if you are going to screw around with a 6.7 tank guts, the pricing is in line. Except what I’ve seen on the Mustang stores it says not for diesel. I’ll have to look for others.
I just found some discussion where in forums it was dropped due to diesel incompatibility, they stated Holley tech verbally said the 15 micron mesh was too restrictive with diesel. Thinking about it, that would be a gelling nightmare.

Good to know. I was hoping they had one compatible with diesel but wasn't sure. I wanted to get it for my Aux tank to suck out every last drop.
You could add spacers to the skid plate or add strips of rubber to the supports to hold the tank up off the bottom of the skid plate and gain a little. I’m going to have my buddy fab a cover plate for it later on. I just wanted to get it done so I can continue break in. 680 miles to go until oil change.
