Haven’t done much on this project lately. It maybe sitting like this for a bit longer. I did start to cut the front passenger cab corner out and it’s more rotted than I was hoping. Will have to figure something out there. Garage is cleaned and it’s tucked away for now. But might have to be moved and find a new garage for it it.

So I have a chance to buy some shockwaves at an amazing price. But they are only 3.6” stroke. 4.1 I believe is what I should have. Will they still work ? Or should I pass

Got the truck back out to the farm so I can start working on it again. Have different air shocks for the front which will require some cutting and welding. Sheet metal to do still and I list of other things.

Decided I could start installing the Altman latches. Easy install and now the door closes with ease. No slamming anymore.

I also noticed my driver door doesn’t have a lock. So I guess I’ll have to install power locks.

one more thing I noticed is these 5 holes drilled in the drive door (red circles). Would this of been for some kind of molding?

I’m not sure John. I don’t have the other door with me at the moment as I replaced it with one i bought from Morris. I still have it and I’ll check it out. Dad know the history of this truck so I might ask him if he remembers anything on previous owners

Decided to finally install the MSD pro billet distributor. I locked it out and will set my timing for 32°. I bought a two step starting system so it will return my timing to 12 for startup and then run at 32° all the time.

Figured it was time to start the process of replacing the front airbags. Cut off the old mount designing a new mount. Will have boxed up and reinforce it.

Switching over to a T5 manual transmission. Came out of 94 Mustang GT. The headers I have were for a fox body so I had to swap out the bell housing input shaft and bearing retainer for fox body stuff. My head is clear nicely now just have to make up a new transmission, crossmember and get it mounted. I have all my steering components so I can work on that and get it mocked up.

Cut a bit of the rocker panel out and the small patch of the floor in the same area. Making my own rocker panel, would be much easier with a bender that’s for sure but still doable. Still have to make the piece that goes down then weld it all together. The original appears to be two piece with an over lap. The new one are a one piece.
