I was peaking at your thread. Will be nice when you’re done. Lots of metal work.

Got both tubs done. Just need to do some final trimming and weld them onto the bed side.

Well it’s been a tough few weeks. I blew my back out just before Christmas and couldn’t walk for 3 days. Had to take some time off work. I am feeling better and getting around much better now so I put in a hour or two a day in the garage for the last few days and got the tubs almost finished.

Installed a new timing chain and gears. Then proceeded to install the CVF racing serpentine belt kit. Had some issues getting the belt on, but it’s all together now. I also pulled the original intake off and put on the edelbrock air gap that I bought at Christmas time. I don’t have it bolted down yet. Now I need to figure out if it’s worth it to try and fix and rebuild this old carb or upgrade to a new 750

Looking good . A 750 might be a little much for a stockish 351 .

Wow. Long long over due for an update. I have got a few things done. I widen the rear fenders 1.5” in the front and flared out to 2” in the rear for of the fender. They are not perfect by any means but for my first attempt at something like that I’m pretty happy with the overall result. Then came the running boards. I modified them to fit the rear fenders and should bolt up nicely now and are nice and flush. Once again not perfect. But I’m happy. They are old and beat up. So once I was done with that it was seeding time so I spent a month away from home seeding and spraying. And just a few days ago I finally lifted the cab off my trailer and set it on the frame for the first time in many years. I know I’m jumping the gun. I have a couple cab corners to do along with a bunch of other stuff.

So now I’m going to order some MSD ignition stuff and maybe try and fire the engine. I need to do something with the carb as well.
also what are you guys using for kick down cables, and throttle cables. They range from $45-$200. Not sure what I need.

Nice fab work. Very close to how I did my rear fenders and running boards
