Hung the front clip last night. Nothing is bolted down. Still trimming the inner fenders. Hood is just set on as well. But im loving the stance so far.
Progress is progress. Ran out of mig wire so need to get another 11lbs spool. But I have the new raised bed frame welded together, just need to finish the upright mounts. I made them so they bolt to the frame and the box as well. So the entire frame will be removable if needed through some of the old wood strips on just to see what it will kinda look like. Then I went down and stole dad’s 56 tailgate, he actually gave me permission. And have it mocked up as well
Also making an attempt at making my own flip hood kit with the picture from John’s build. I need to go get some 3/4” tubing and 1” pipe. I have everything else I believe. Today I bent these up. They are not welded together yet not sure where I need to cut them off yet.
I do have one question John. On the 1/2” pipe welded to the 3/4” tube 6” long. Did you make an insert for a bolt. Just thinking that would be a pretty big bolt going through there if not.
I do have one more question. On the large triangle piece that pulls to the front of the hood. Is it 8 1/4 inches before you bent it? Or is that after you put the two bends in it?

That was before the bends, it's been awhile and had to go take the measurement ..
