So my little bro has decided to kick dad in the behind a bit. Went and loaded his 56 up and he’s taking it to his place to start working on it. Would be great to see both of these trucks back on the road. I should of got better pics. But there’s a radio in it that I’m not sure if it’s factory and then there’s this hood ornament that I’m hoping some of you can shed some light on

Radio is definitely not stock or period correct, a stock radio would be round and mounted in the dash under the ash tray. I have no idea on the hood ornament . Rather neat looking. Is there any wires leading to it, I was wondering if the eyes light up.? Your pictures answered a question I had if Mercury used the Custom Cab badges. There are several things I'd love to have from that truck for mine...lol
Please keep us posted on the build..

I didn’t notice any wires. The eyes and horns look like they were the same material. Horns have been busted off.

If you ever run into any spares let me know, the ones I have are badly pitted and some of the pins are broken off..

Put some temporary wheels and tire on to make it a roller.

just reading through jrockdiddy build and he used a 9" thats the same measurement as mine..from what I have read all he did was widen the rear fenders 3", doesn't say what he did about the bolt pattern though
