That pretty much covers it.

I have 7 of the above issues.

So finding a couple of threads of people complaining about is "commonly"?

I'm open to wording alternatives. Suggestions? My intent was to try to capture issues that were more of the "me too" variety rather than the one offs. In other words, things that I can see coming up again rather than a specific defect in one person's vehicle. Thanks

Reported problems is a better title. Just saying some of those problems probably aren't that common. Just because you read people saying they are having issues on a forum doesn't mean half the trucks on the road are having the same issues.

Interesting compilation. Some are real problems; others mere annoyances. Some are not problems (audio system is what it is, for example). Some are carryover "problems" such as the one I posted about not being able to remove the dually hub covers. Not all, or even most, of the problems are widespread. I think things are decent for the first few months of a brand new model.

Hmm so far I don't really think I have any of these except burnt rubber= regen--would we feel better with a lilac smell? Seats solved by dropping lumbar support to lowest level for me at least. Doubt paint issue is Ford specific but could be wrong and so far paint like previous new vehicles. I don't know but I am pretty happy with my vehicle but I will admit when I read these negative posts I start going over the vehicle with a microscope so I might just quit reading I guess.

I've been directly behind a salt truck taking lots of hits; no paint issues. I got my truck back in October...I've probably washed it 10x by now. The paint is fine.

Makes me wonder if some colors are more susceptible to paint chips / flaking?

Mine is Blue Jeans.

That reminds me of the days when certain silver colored paints were not holding up well. Certain model years would predictably need repainted. These silver paints were not Ford products (the ones I recall anyway).

My 1985 F250 with a blue metallic paint did flake however after over 5 yrs and Ford did repaint the hood and top. The rest of the truck did not need attention.

I will say this, my F350 Lariat with the ultimate package stereo is light years better than the stereo in my $65k BMW X5, my God but that BMW stereo was lame. So I'm personally very happy with my F350 stereo. I would say its an improvement over my 2013 F150 and 2014 Ram 1500 also.

Bump for updates...

Anything else a person should look for when they take delivery of a new truck? I'm gonna try the Media tray cover, and make sure the hubs are unlocked. Any other pointers when at the dealer?

Don't they all have the same clear coat? Maybe one color - or even just a batch of one color - could have a problem.

Are these chips that go completely through to the metal? Or are they just into the clear coat?

Good thing this thread wasn't around before buying my truck. I wouldn't have bought it. LOL
