through the lot just looking. I work out of town and always stop to look at the local inventories on dealer lots. Made the trip tonight to look at some Magnetic trucks to decide how I wanted to paint the chrome side badges.
First thing I noticed was this "KR on Platinum" crime... Easily $140k worth of trucks with more cameras than a Walmart parking lot and they manage this:
Then at literally 36,002 miles, some poor soul will get stiffed with replacing this passenger side mirror outside of warranty because someone still thinks it is 2007:
And last but not least, just a friendly reminder to QC your cab lights before leaving the dealer in that brand new whip:
well, thanks for these Pics. I am happy I dont have more holes in my roof for these cab lights now....
I wonder if they may already be leaking....it has obviously rained.
Okay, OP, what's up with the mirror being folded in? I don't understand the issue with it being folded. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I don't know what it is.

They are power folding mirrors. Someone manually folded the passenger side mirror which is really hard on the gears. It stands a greater chance of premature failure.
Thanks for the reminder to check the truck closely upon arrival.
Those clearance lights are really disappointing to see on two levels. Someone didn't get them screwed down and another on the end of the line QA missed them.
Makes me wonder if some more vital part might not be properly torqued.

I've seen the process up close of how they are made. At the end of the line, the computer knows if something is missing. It will be pulled off to the side and corrected by someone.
This was just flat out improperly installed. It wouldn't push down either as though it didn't fit properly. Hope and pray mine doesn't show up with something like that.
My roof lights look like those. They definitely do not sit flat. I'm taking it to the dealer Monday so I will have them look at that.
I did notice in the picture that the cab lights are mounted on a curved roof surface, however, the base of the lights is straight. It seems to me that the base of the the lights should be curved to match the roof arc. I had planned to order cab lights, but if they don't mate properly to the roof, I'll definitely skip them.
Those clearance lights are just poor. It's totally out of character for the rest of the truck to fit like that. The other thing that's kind of dopey is the rear seat cup holders. They don't push flush into the seat back and look cheapy. I think Ford ran out of time on a couple of fit and finish items.
Maybe those cab lights are dealer installed items? I know it's probably just me, but unless I was required to have them for DOT, cab lights introduce too much risk to be worth the "cool factor".

They were factory optioned. Actually required on that truck as it was a DRW truck.
