Filled up for the first time yesterday. I have a 17 CC SB 6.7 and am under the impression the fuel tank is 34 gallons. I was close to being empty when filling up and was getting a message on the dash screen that I had 25 miles till empty. To my surprise I was only able to squeeze in 27 gallons of fuel. I know you cant completely fill the tank to max capacity but I should be able get much closer to 34 gallons right?

What are your guys's thoughts on this? Am I missing something? Distance till empty said 425 after fill up.

 

Totally normal. The DTE is always WAY off. You can run on 0 miles to empty for a very long time.

 

Welcome to the forum! You have stumbled across a well known issue. Ford hasn't provided us any insight, but it appears that everyone has the same issue as you.

Just fill her up when she asks, and I recon you'll never run out of fuel!
