If this happens again hold the vol button (power) and the forward seek (>>) button down for 5-10 seconds and it will reboot. It happened once to me and this cleared it up. I've also seen it reboot on its own once as well.

To err is human, but to really screw it up takes a computer.
I'm just glad it's not a winblows 95 OS can you imagine a BSOD on our trucks.......
When I read the Ford switched to a BlackBerry based system, it gave me a bad feeling. I had a blackberry phone once and it was problematic. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. They must have been the lowest bidder.. I feel Android or Apple based system would have been the best as they are the top two in mobile software.
"dead" screens from my observation may only be because the radio is updating. I had this happen after I turned on the auto update and observed my shop WIFI transfer rate go up, assumed that the truck was downloading. Then later that day went for a drive and the radio didn't start up. I thought the same, messed up. But, it restarted and it's been fine. Not sure if this is the issue but it's plausible..
The wife was shopping and got the black screen when she started up to head home. When she got home I went out and started the truck and the screen was fine.
Rather than start a new thread.... my screen went black this morning too. Worked fine throughout the morning, then parked it for about 10 minutes to take some photos, I noticed after that the sync screen was black, no audio coming from the speakers, just dead. I shut the truck down and back on a couple times but still black.
