Still a little fogy from over spray.
It was a long day 3:30am start and lights went off at 7pm only stopping for breakfast and run the trash to the dump.
This all almost did not happen. When eating breakfast I heard a loud pop followed by a loud hiss.
Went running out to my garage to find the 3/4" pipe blew out of the air dryer that leads to the air system piping around my garage. It is a compression type fitting so an easy fix but 80 gallons of air @ 180 psi blew a lot of dirt around. Good thing I was still sanding so was not too bad.

Sorry the pictures are not too good it was hot and I wanted to get out and I am hurting from 2 days of painting.
It has a little dirt on the hood. I had the air hose leaking half way thru the last coat and had to throw the hose outside to fix it and the door opener shook the dirt down.
It is now baking as it must be 90* in there!
Got done just in time as the wind is kicking up and starting to rain.
Tomorrow I will pull the rest of the paper off and see about prepping & maybe painting the bumpers. I did not want to do them before I had a safe place to put them and now I can put them on the truck.
I also need to get another gallon of red paint for the bed, it took the full gallon just on the cab already told the banker I need $200+ for it.
Dave ----
Also wet sanded the bumpers and got paint & clear on them before calling it a day, it is to hot & humid to work today!

I am vary pleased on how it has turned out so far, just have the bed to do now.
Did I tell you all I hate body work!

Replaced the oriface tube in the mustang today and refilled the system hoping itd fix my ac system and get it to stop tripping the overpressure valve. Turns out the oriface tube was my problem the whole time since replacing the compressor 2 summers ago. Now its blowing cold again. Cant complain that it blows 35* on an 87* day
I figured out I needed to do away with atleast 1 of the double U joints in my steering setup. So I got some on order to get that fixed.
I got the new seat mounted, and 5 point harness back in. Then fired it up for a few seconds, I'll have to try and set the timing and dial carb in still.
Today so far I've got the new U joints in both driveshafts and got them back in.
Yesterday I went thru my bins of parts to sort out what I don't need for the truck and what parts I have 2 of so I can pick the best ones.
Like the wiper motors & linkage. I picked the best and prepped & painted.
Wile it was drying I found the lights for the front bumper and installed them in the bumper and mounted the front & rear bumpers to get them out of the way.
Wiper motor now dry I installed it and if anyone has dealt with that little clip knows what a PITA it can be! I don't know what I did but after a few tries it popped right on.
Mounted the rear shocks, was easy with no bed on and the old one gone a long time ago.
Fronts I need to pull the wheels and when I do pull them I want to use paint remover on them to remove the paint some one put on them.
Painted the radiator support and behind the grille area satin black so it will not show up behind the grille.
Hunted down the foam seal I got a wile back to go on the bottom of the cowl vent then mounted the radio ant. to the cowl vent then took 30 min. to figure how the cable go run to the inside.
I did not screw it down as I could not find the screws at this time. When everything was in place I saw the ant. pointing off to the side? WTH?
Called it a day.
Today started at 6am
I fixed the radio ant. the plastic base can only go on the fender 1 way but I did not know the ant base also should go on 1 way so I got that fixed now.
I found the screws for the cowl vent so got that screwed down.
Some of the cowl vent screws also hold the cowl to hood seal in place and you use garage door bottom seal so that was installed.
Of the 2 grilles and head light doors I have 1 set was painted by someone so I used paint remover on them ..... not a good thing!
Paint came off the chrome but some of the doors & all the drill is plastic and the stripper made the plastic soft.
Doors were junk to start but the chrome was worn off once I got the paint off. I might be able to save the grille by sanding some areas and painting it.
So with the better parts in hand I cleaned & polished the chrome parts and installed on the truck. They will need to come back off to repair them, repair kit on order, and I will prep & paint the grille and the doors where the factory paint them.
My rubber weather strip kit showed up today, waiting for my LMC order to show up as it has other parts needed for the doors before I can start to put them together.
At 1pm the truck looked like this
I need another long weekend to get paint on the bed LOL
