Is that a crazy idea?

Currently I have the rear of the bed bolted down, the tailgate back on, the front end is in process and i will bolt the Ex tank in this weekend.

Buying a house and having a wedding withing a month of each other is not recommended...low truck funds and no time to do anything lol. Good news is i will have a nice clean garage to work in vs having to clean out everything from the week my family puts around the truck. It's a pain because i spend about 30min-1hr cleangin before i can work every time then i have to put it all back so thats 1-2hrs before i get anything done...very discouraging sometimes lol.

I was going to do the old rim idea and plywood to get mine through the door too!!! LOL I've never tried i but it should work!!

I'd maybe try car dolly's with the rotors on the dolly. Make sure the lug nuts are on the rotors.

Vehicle Dollies - 2 Piece, 1500 Lb. Capacity

I know what you mean. After you own a house, that can also dip into truck funds. And so can a wife She says things like "You need to get new shorts for vacation... the ones you are wearing are stained, have holes in them, and you've had them longer that we have known each other." And you reply with something like, "But I need to new manifolds and get them out to the powder coater so I can stop this god damn exhaust tick. My shorts are not a reflection of my personality. They are fine." Guess who wins....

My new shorts will be arriving tomorrow.

Fair warning, its not going to get any better

I can't complain a whole lot though, typically she just lets me do as I please since I do a lot of the house work. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes.... whatever.... it doesn't bother me. When I want something expensive, I just make a very nice candlelit dinner, get some wine in her, let her pick a movie to watch, and massage her feet. Most use this tactic for sex, I use to for truck parts and tools... usually works like a charm

Just remember, in marriage you can be right or you can be happy. I chose happy

I put the front end back on yesterday after work, The header panel and headlights are not fully screwed in but enough to hold it all in place for the move. I know once i move i will be able to work on the truck more as right now i just have no space and its a pain to make space to work.

The garage and all the crap i always move to work.

I thought about buying a Tow bar to move the truck since it is only 3 miles and having someone steer while i pull it with the expedition and this would allow me to place it perfectly in the new garage.

Looks like this:

To bar is a good idea. I would have a vehicle in front of you and behind you with the 4 way flashers on just to be safe.

I want to steal those headlights.

Oh yeah i plan to get my buddy to drive the F150 behind me and I'll probably follow my dad with the trailer with all of our stuff in it...we can make a convoy! lol. I wont be going very fast either with that bad boy hitched up.

Thanks I love them, they look amazing when hooked up. I could probably get the battery installed and turn them on...maybe ill do that next since i need to mount the fuse panel and steering wheel before i move lol.

Sounds like a genius idea. Doing that conversion is on my ever growing to-do list. I got a quote from one place and they want a ridiculous amount... I'll probably try doing it myself

I bought all the parts from TRS I got the square mini D2S kit when it was on sale so i paid 315 for everything and i got a coupon for free shipping i upgraded everything so the end cost was $315 but i upgraded my bulbs ballasts and shrouds lol. I think on sale and everything it was $250, i had Plain n simple install them for me because i was having some issues getting them mounted lol and he charged me $250-300 if i remember right.

If you look at their clearance stock you can get some projectors right now the same ones i got are $35 for the pair and then you can get juts the HID kit seperate for it for $150ish and then the shrouds for about $25-50 so you could get the kit i had for about $235.

...something about lights makes me love them...probably because they are shiny.

That isn't too bad. I don't remember who quoted me but it was over $900 for the completed lights if they supplied the parts.

I was going to get stuff from the Retrofit Source. They seem to have the best kits and even at full price they are reasonable. I was probably going to pick up a set of eBay housings. I don't want to mess up my OEM lights I have now. I was going to paint mine to match as well. I was going to do the trim in matching blue and the lower silvers was going to be on the reflectors. In my mind it looks pretty freaking cool lol. We will see when I actually get it

Random question, are you selling your 5.4?

Exactly what i did but what i ended up doing is sending both the ebay lights and my OEM lights to have then EBAY black housings installed so its OEM quality with nice black housings and HID's now.

I am once i pull it from the truck, thought about building it for fun or putting it in the F150 but i have too many projects and want to work on the charger lol. The only thing i am keeping from the power train is the transfer case.

I did have to cut a few lines because i couldn't for the life of me get them off no matter how much i pried with the tools or anything. Nothing major though.

I'd like to do them in the OEM housings but I don't want to break them lol. I'll sell them when I am done and hopefully recover some of the investment.

I wanted to get a set of OEM exhaust manifolds to get blasted and ceramic powder coated for my truck. Would you want to work out a deal? I will send you the OEM manifolds off my truck when I am done so you can still sell a complete motor.

Yeah definitely my passenger side leaks currently so let me make sure they are not cracked or anything I am pretty sure its just a stud on the passenger side. It only ticks in the winter thought and once she heats up it goes away.

Sweet. My passenger side one was replaced with a new OEM when I bought the truck. I have the same thing on the drivers side but I can't tell if a stud broke or not. I used a mirror and it looked like all 8 were intact. It might just be the gasket. We can look into this after you move and get married. I am still a few months out on this project. Just trying to get all the ducks in a row. I can finally get the column shifter off you too.
