I made brackets to re-use the ford accessories. Had to flip the alt and a/c positions though because the lines off the compressor interfered with lower the water outlet. One of the main goals when I did my swap was no custom lines for anything.
I've been going back and forth on what i want to do because i originally wanted to keep all the old ford pumps and avoid custom lines but as far as my ability to fabricate something, i have no welding skills and my time is very limited which is why i leaned towards getting the conversion lines and brackets. My biggest concerns right now is turbo mounting for when i try to pipe the turbos. Currently the primary sits down by the A/C box and the secondary i was going to put where you have yours in your picture but piping that looks to be like a nightmare.
With the SD's heater box plumbing a set of twins is a nightmare, I looked at doing twins but decided to stay with a single for ease of maintenance.
Changing the subject. I was looking at you pics and noticed your engine mounts, where did you get them? Them left side bracket looks like the one I got from Destroked but the mounts are different. My mounts were for an 04 CR Dodge and wouldn't allow the engine to set low enough without making a set of modified brackets. The mounts on your engine hug the block closer and look like they would allow the engine to set lower like it needs to be.
Just for reference I set my engine at 2 1/2 deg tilt which centered the mechanical fan in the shroud.
I got my engine mounts from destroked, it's a first gen 12v so not sure if the mounts change position at all between the engine years but I love these mounts they are so beefy.
When I got my mounts from Destroked they where using 03-07 CR right side mounts.
After some searching I found that yours are right side mounts from an 07 1/2-12 Dodge with 6.7 Cummins.
Nice looking set of mounts, if I didn't already have mine set up I'd look into the newer mounts.
Hey Guys, I wanted to just post up again to let you know I'm not dead I'm still here lol. Been planning a wedding and bought a 72 charger which i think i brought up not sure i tried looking for the post so that's been draining my funds and time on the weekends lol. I'm hoping to get the wife to give me a hand this weekend though and potentially getting the motor ready to be pulled and the motor chained up, i still need a hoist though so that's why it wont be out this weekend just 90% ready unless i can get my hands on one lol.
I just finished your ranger build wizkid. Any updates on it since last year?
Nice house, I'm envious of that garage space. Great dogs. You're ranger posts were old so congrats on the engagement/wedding.
Thank you! I consider myself very fortunate. Not much on the Ranger. The electric fan crapped out again. Back to the mechanical one. This year it will hopefully see new radiator, injectors, coil packs, plug wires, tires (at least 2) and fan/clutch assembly. It gets driven almost every day.
Just planning our Honeymoon now. Looking into Riviera Maya. We have been to Cancun before and loved that.
