Ok, question on the front cover,,,, it prob wont come with the low pressure regulator huh? I've never taken that out. Anything complicated about it???
If you ordered the new front cover with the part number I gave you, it includes the LPOP regulator at the bottom of the cover. Assembling it should be self-explanatory once you see the parts.
I should've wrote that number down. I gotta call em n get a branch tube ne ways. I'm gonna post a list if parts for this rebuild. It's a loooong list. I'm wondering if the bed plate bolts are tty.
Regarding the metal rocker arm pivots, they are correct. The metal pivots were used only in 2003 and early to mid 2004 engines. Just as they are correct that the metal pivots are now obsolete. If I were going this deep into my engine, and could score a set of rocker arms with metal pivots, I would jump on it.
I just added the lpop regulator and the branch tube to the order. It was cheaper, that way I didn't buy two front cover gaskets. I'm getting the overhaul kit. The bare front cover is like $260. $19 for the lpop regulator. $80 for the branch tube.
Also I got one ,,, tube????,,, of the ta29 stuff. Do you think that will be enough??? Hope so.
Ok bouncing around,,,, ficm repair. I just called them. I'm wanting opinions on their 1 year compared to 2 year. I've always had 48.5 on it, and I would like to get the atlas 40 tune. It's 500 to get their whole hookup. That's a chunk. Would stock components in the ficm hold up to the atlas tune? Should I do the $500 as preventative maint??? I checked the oasis before buying the truck and am sure it's never had any flash done. I have the original flash from the factory. Is the extra 100 worth it for the 2 yr components??
