G mernin everybody. I'm contemplating taking the evening off from the shop tonight and hanging out with the wife. The work day has already started off busy here and me and the boss had planned to throw some darts this morning.

I had a length of tube laying around so I made a partial line and spliced it in with P/S return hose. I flare and double clamp the splice where they come together. It works well.

Speaking of which, Lee. You trans problem was more than likely a kinked cooler line I found. I'll fix that today with the other stuff on the list. I'll get back to you on parts I need. I kick myself for letting the wiper transmission and motor go with the parts truck. That would've been perfect for you. I'll play with your wiper motor and see if I can make it run any smoother.

That's one of the things I want to do if I ever get to build my own shop at the house. A gen-set large enough (KW) to supply power to the house & shop. I don't think a four squirrel Datsun wouldn't have HP to spin an alternator that big...but the thought is still on the wish list when I hit my retirement fund (Powerball)

What kind of problem are you having? I'm far from an expert on generators/alternators. But I know a couple of guys that work on gensets used to start USAF birds. Could pass the question their way and see what bounces back.

As far as size, when I worked for Cat I dropped off a 3412 powered generator at a factory one day so the the power company could do some kind of maintenance to their 3-phase feed. This thing sat in a 48' dry box and the radiator filled the entire opening where the doors were at the back. It was impressive to see.

We had MANY of those plus a bunch of smaller ones powering the F.O.B.s down range.

Ugh. Lee's truck is turning out to be a challenge. I got the door handle working again. Everything else is going to require parts. .......many, many parts.

Lee's truck is a '92-'96. Rich doesn't have parts that new. The manifold I'm getting off of him is for the dent I'm working on for the Arkansas crew.

Well - I survived leading my first staff meeting and I don't have a single bruise to show for it.

Hope all is well in Ford Country. All seems to be calm here.

Well the ice storm up here, struck real close to home. As I was going out to put the Expedition and Ranger up outa the weather, I slipped and fell all the way down my front porch stairs (4 field stone/rock covered big steps) about 7 ft all together.....

Bruised my tailbone, banged my elbow, jammed my neck, back is killing me, shoulder is sprained for sure, and I get to fly to PA in the morning and Iraq on monday GREAT.....

Lots of accidents around the highhways, everyone be careful. Alan I'll call with a location to meet tomorrow, all depends on the road conditions.

You know, I heard all the sirens a couple of hours ago and wondered what in the world was going on. I haven't been out of the camper all day, but noticed it was raining/drizzling earlier. Guess we've got some slick spots up here in Nevada too...excellent! Supposed to go out at 0500 in a 2WD E250, good times in deed!

Hope you feel better soon Rich.
