I'm working on my coffee and brownie right now. (brownies are better on the second day)
I hope to get this Bravada fired up today. I don't think there's much left to do, but my thermometer says 12 degrees! My narrow butt isn't stepping one foot outside until there's at least a 3 in front of that number!
Well we had a little excitement around here, actually outside this morning. A somewhat friend of Tim's that lives a couple of blocks away, got his drivers license this last summer. The boy shouldn't be driving, he is too dangerous, too fast etc. We heard a noise outside this morning, then my phone range. It was my buddy Chris that lives next door. He say's "You need to come outside and look at my daughters car".
Well this resident dumba$$ on wheels hit Chris's, daughters car. She has/had a beautiful 06 Mustang GT and her and her hubby have added a lot of extras to this car. Dumba$$ told us "I didn't defrost my windshield". And he was correct, it was almost iced over, even when the Police arrived.
Chris has told his daughter to "Put the car in the drive way" several times. Maybe she will after the car gets fixed?
On top of the ice covered windshield, there may be a speed factor here. He knocked the parked car (With parking break applied) 27 feet, and put the right side on the curb.
Game over, if that was my kid his license would be GONE!!!! He could have it back after he moved out on his own. Sad part is, the Mustang is probably totaled. Whatever stock parts she has for the car I would start putting back on. Because the car is wasted. I've seen more valuable cars get totaled for a lot less damage. I hope the kid gets the book thrown at him. At least the daughter wasn't in the car. ...or worse, going to get in the car. This could have been SO much worse.
I'm with Alan on the coulda been much worse and that it is probably totaled...even though Alan or I would probably fix it in either of our driveway. Too many panels on an "old" car got damaged. Maybe the neighbor kid's parents will learn and take away his license.
They're talking about body shops now. If it were me, I'd have it towed to a Ford shop. They may total it, it will need 1/4th and then some of the car reaplced, inside and outside sheetmetal. Car may not be worth the fix. They havent' had the car long either.
We've talked about that already. When this happened, the school bus's have already been through the neighborhood. Nobody was in/near the car, or waiting for a school bus. It could have been way worse. The car can be fixed/replaced.
Morning gentlemen, a little on the cool side out there this morning.

Good luck Terry, I keep hoping the folks I dropped off an application/resume to last week call me for an interview.

My brother rear-end another car with my mother's '87 Towncar almost 20 years ago. He was driving too fast for the conditions. He hollered louder than my mother (about her car) when she took his license away and had to ride with sister to/from school.
I know his parent's, and they are upset. But they are also the "Not My Kid" type. We've had an issue with them a couple of years ago.
Well I made it to the "O.C" ( Ozark Community Center) yesterday, walked a couple of laps. Crushed the seat on one of those bicycles, worked out on about half of the equiptment there. Need to get there again today. OR.... I can stay in the house where it is warm, I have a few things I can do inside anyway that do need done. And go workout this afternoon, or tomorrow dosent sound bad either. I can talk myself out of anything!
Rich, glad you made it home!
And I'm thinking the Mustang is a loss myself. That is alot of twisted sheet metal. Hung a few panles myself.
