hey bob....i was going to ask about that manifold off the 429 bu figured the car and truck would be different... well sounds like maybe rich has one already off that would be great.. i really didnt want to be trying to get one off that dent with the 460 in it because it is sitting right on the ground............ i am going to head to arkansas tomorrow to spend a few days with my new girlfriend...........thats right ya'll heard right!! this ugly wild looking old man has talked a pretty young thing into being with me without puking all over the place..its been 5 years since my wife passed so i figure its time to get back into the saddle....)
thanks jeff..i really didnt need em..alan is looking for passenger side one for a 460..i have one but it will be a job to get off the truck.. and right now i have other things on my feeble little brain..ha ha ha ha ...but good of you to offer
I have 6 days off coming up starting Thursday, so im hoping to get Ol Big Red started to see what may be wrong with him......heard might have a bad valve. Ive got another set of heads on the bad motor just in case. Jeff
good deal jeff always good to have spare parts..... i have a few spare parts for most of my junk too...in fact my trucks i drive are nothing more than rolling spare parts anyway....ha ha ha
ohh i wanted to ask alan if he wants to put my 1935 2 ton caband fenders onto a 1941 1/2 ton ford truck frame for me so i can have something cool to drive..
Rc... You know about me and dim fenders..... I'll make em fit!
Jeff. Hang on to those 351m-400 parts. Valves are just part of a running problem of that engine. It's agood, low RPM, high torque engine. But it's a monster on valves, low oil pressure etc. Been through a couple of them in Ka'Bluey! Waiting for other things to settle down so I can build the 429 I got from RC...... By the way Rc.... I still have your engine stand that the engine I got from you is on. Ok, anothe rbeer and im' gonna feede me neck.\
Unl Bob
I'm flattered, but a machine shop could do a better job. I have to take a Chevy head up to do a valve job that I just can't make right here. The seats are too far gone. A machine shop would also be able to magna-flux them for you.
