It's a Dodge Dually. The ex-boyfriend bought it to source the 12 valve out of for his 1/2 ton SWB. Then he broke up with my niece, moved to Michigan to live with mommy and daddy and left the carcass with no title on her lawn. ....real nice guy.
Sounds like he pulled the engine & possibly the transmission. If it was a 4x4 its likely a Dana 60 or AAC axle up front and a Dana 70 or 80 in the rear.
I've never seen it, so I couldn't tell you. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I THINK from what everyone is saying, that it's a 2wd, single cab long bed dually. The only thing I know is that it's black.
I'll take some pictures when we pick it up. He wanted the engine, and since the trans is different, I think the engine and trans are gone. Of course I'm guessing on all of this. It should at least have a decent rear.
Depends on which generation it is. If it is a pre-94 model - it will have the driver side drop, but should be a leaf spring axle without all the funky links and such. Its all moot since its a 2wd truck.
Yeah, I've got a free 14 bolt already. I'm good on a rear. I'll be happy with a front 44, but would be ecstatic to find a 60. Of course, the 60 would need to be about the same price as the 44 I have waiting on me, which isn't very much. Like, nothing, lol.
If it is a 94 -00 2nd gen year, depepnds if it is a "sport" model. either way I could use the complete grill that bolts to the front of the hood and what kind of condition are the front & rear bumpers?
The auto dimming rearview mirror, and what color is the dash snap on outer Bexel? Mine is a 99 Sport with the wood grain , would trade for black?
I'll look at all those pieces. I'm doing this as a favor to my niece so her landlord doesn't get upset about this junk on her lawn. Any money raised will go back to Katie. (My niece) She fronted the money for the truck to boot. She's just trying to get some of her money back. She also has a Toyota 4runner that she's trying to get $2K out of. It needs work, but the ex drove it home from Branson, so it can't be that bad. I don't know anything about that one either. ...Except the tool ex-boyfriend took the keys with him when he moved back to Michigan. I think he mailed them back, though.
I hope she picks the next boyfriend a little better. This guy was a real tool.
hey alan ..if you need to store that or any truck till you get it parted and ready to scrap you can haul it to my place ..might be better than crowding your drive..or i could probably give ya scrap price for it...
